malk2.0
We can throw in other candidates if you want as well. Compare your candidate with ron paul and see where they come out. Look at voting records, ideas they had (BEFORE THEY DECIDED TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT) etc.
Self Made Soul
Democrats oppose the war on specific grounds, but they wont denounce it for philosophical reasons. Why not? Because they have their own wars and foreign military entanglements to get into when they become president. The democrats have murdering third world dictators to prop up, U.N. debacles to waste US lives supporting, and "feel good" wars to fight for the cause of political correctness. octoslash
A minimum intelligence test should be administered before a citizen can vote, combined with a sliding scale of votes awarded, depending on how many tax dollars the government seizes from said citizen. In other words, if you're a citizen with a brain, you can vote.If you're a productive citizen who pays more than $50,000 in federal taxes, you vote twice; $75,000= 3 votes, and so on. If you're a welfare lowlife who can't pass the test and who pays no taxes; you take the test again next election and maybe you'll get one vote. Achievement and self-sufficiency would keep this nation strong for 500 years. Alas, those two things are basically abhorred by the lawmakers and discouraged by the tax collector. malk2.0
its funny how people cant compare their candidate with ron paul. lolheres some more ron paul facts:-He voted against the original funding for NAIS-Rallied farmers across America aginst NAIS-He seeks the permanent repeal of the inheritance tax, letting you pass your family farm on to the next generation intact-He obtained medals for hundreds of deserving veterans-never vote for an unbalanced budget-never voted to raise congressional pay (what a loon, I mean HES NOT GREEDY HOW UN AMERICAN.)-Voted against regulating the internet-not participated in the lucrative congressional pension program(wow, he must be a commie! hahah)-He opposes trade deals and groups that threaten AMERICAN indepdence.-He wants to ECURE OUR BORDERS and end illegal immigration by bringing the troops home to actually PROTECT America. (God forbid the troops actualy be used to protect america)

Are we the united states of the iraq? American troops dying to protect the iraqi people. crazy and supposly good wholesome americans DEFENDING IT. its rather sickening. Twinblade
Some Americans think we need to stay in Iraq because if we pull out all **** will break lose, sorry but thats already happen, nobody wants us in IRAQ, we are losing this war just like we lost in nam. Its pretty sad how the media just continues to brain washed Americans and think this war is being won.I used to live in a Army base in Germany, I was never welcomed there in Germany, I had no friends in Germany, the people of Germany did not want me there, I was only 13 yrs old at the time. Why don't you see German bases here in America? What about japan and Canada and yet we have bases all over the world, leaving a huge gap open for more attacks.

We need to remember history and realize that theres a HUGE REASON why no country has taken over the world.Even if we are trying to take over the world for a good reason, which I doubt,we will be be successful. If we try to have the North American empire we will fall like empires before us. Look at russie in the past, england, rome etc."Those who dont remember the past are doomed to repeat it." I hate this board. Sometimes it spaces things out when you quote it so much you end up putting your message inbetween theirs.I mean, look at Iran and Russia. We are telling Iran that they cant build nuclear weapons and are trying to limit their military despite the fact that we have enough nukes to blow up the world 6 times over and the Israelis also have enough to turn their country into glass. And Russia is getting pissed at us because we are building a "missile defense system" right next to them that would wipe them off the map if we wanted it to.I mean, I think its pretty hard to say you arent trying to be the worlds police when you are telling sovereign nations what they can and can't do while thinking you are entitled to get every military advantage you can over them.
