brooking/beast
It might have been wishful thinking, but I heard on ESPN this morning that Tony will announce wether or not he is gona retire. Chris Mortenson said that he still plains coaching in the '08 season. Did anyone else hear this? I played it back a few times just to be certain. etherdome
If I were Dimitroff, I would call Dungy and ask him about Leslie Frazier. Tony is a man of integrity and would give his honest opinion of the man. If Frazier is as good as I think he is, I would expect Dungy to give TD a glowing recommendation. brooking/beast
What I got out of that article is that if Dungy retires from Indie he will be looking for a new team to coach.

Everything I've heard or read indicates that once Dungy steps down that's it.....he's finished coaching. I believe he told his wife he was only going to coach 25 years (that's including as an assistant too). He is right at that 25 year mark. He's actually past the 25 year mark. He started coaching in 1980 as a defensive backs coach at the University of Minnesota.
woodstockfan
I just read on ESPN.com that the Colts owner said he believes Dungy is leaning towards coming back next year. Dungy will let him know for sure today. He said a couple of things are for certain--Jim Caldwell has been resigned for next year, and will become the next HC should Dungy step down. That job is like a virus right now, nobody wants to be infected.
