geraldg
I was one of the many who wanted to draft McFadden. But seeing how many good rbs that are coming out, I feel that this team would get more value out of drafting Ellis, Dorsey, or Long. A good rb to tem with Norwood could be found in the 3rd. We should draft an OT early and late in the draft and sign a free agent guard. One of our second round picks should be a middle linebacker. I would also go after the Desean Jackson from Cal as a returner in the 3rd. If he could give us three TDs next year, he would be worth it. If he is gone by then, get Eddie Royal from Va Tech. Also, Brandon Coutu and UGA safety Kelin Johnson should be considered in the 5th and 6th.
bossFALCON™
i think mcfadden would really help bring fans to the seats. i also think desean jackson in the third (if he falls there) would be a good pick also.

We've had enough low character players on our team for the next 10 years. It's time to start drafting smart, hard working, high character guys. Nativebird
Long. definitely. biggest need and not to mention one of the BPA's at the top of the board. It's a perfect fit, although DT Dre Moore would be possibly available for our 3rd pick after we picked up our QB in the second round, Joe Flacco. sogafan
With very few exceptions (MV being one) individual players don't bring fans into the game. Winning brings more fans on board. I say draft for need and best value. McFadden may be a college star, but I honestly don't think he will have as great an impact in the pros. Our lines need the greatest amount of help. Draft there first, then pick up a solid back in the mid-rounds. If our O-Line becomes a solid unit, it won't matter who we have back there. Have you never done anything wrong in your whole life or something???
geraldg
I wouldn't pick a QB until the 4th rd. At that time, Henne or Dixon. No Flacco, please!!

drneckbone
As I have posted many times, I hope we trade down and acquire more picks. I we stay at the top I hope address the O line and D line. There is depth at RB and QB
Andrew
Have you never done anything wrong in your whole life or something???I haven't, or at least I haven't done anything that would get me LOCKED UP TWICE in one year. How many warning signs do you need? Does it mean hes a thug because hes gotten into two bar fights in one year? No...but it does put him in the same class as Pacman, without a doubt. We need players that we know are going to be there on Sundays and not suspended, hes already proven that he is a risky player in a time that we don't need risky players. geraldg
P.W.homer (1/20/2008)I do not think Desean Jackson will fall past the early 2nd roundI think he will only because he has no true position. Is he a pure receiver or is he a returner that doubles as a receiver? We need him strictly to be a returner right now. That's all I'm saying. Have you never done anything wrong in your whole life or something???I might not always agree with birdweiserrr, but he is right in this instance. McFadden might have made some mistakes, and there are a lot of people that do; however, he is making these mistakes at the wrong time. Everything he does between now and the draft is him marketing himself to a team. There is more to it then just the combine. The bar fight and the SUV incident do not bode well for him. If there is any question about the kid, I would much rather not take a chance on him, and I doubt TD does either. Remember those who do not learn from their mistakes are doomed to repeat them. I loved Vick, but after what he did, I would much rather never be put into a situation like that again. There are a ton of other high character guys, that I feel would do more in helping this team in the long run. Drafting Long, Dorsey, Ellis, or even Brohm has far more potential to help this team out in the long run.
JTFalcon89
I think McFadden would be a good move but I really dont know if we should pick him I think best bet is go after the best person available if McFadden is there pick him but think more that its a pretty deep draft running back aint our most needed position. Matt Ryan is probably gonna be the pick but im not really sold on him maybe since im a Vtech fan and that play he did to win the game is reason. But I think we need to think more about improving the team rather than attendance if we win they will come no matter what. Lets hope we dont pick up no more BUST like Jenkins. I'm not saying our players should be fighting cats or ducks or dogs or whatever but they don't have to be Al Gore either....
chris30277
oh i agree, on the football players part, but there are a ton of other "football players" without off the field problems. This draft is really deep at RB, after Mcfadden, you have Slaton, Stewart, Rice, Charles, Kevin Smith, Felix Jones, Rashard Mendenhall, and Chris Johnson. There will be a few of those guys that fall simply because of the saturation of RB's this year. WE will find a RB. With a better defensive line we will give whoever we draft at RB a better shot of being successful.
f1ver
a long time ago, I used to despair the massive gaps in our secondarybut getting run on is far far worsegetting Dorsey would be great for clogging up the middle and anchoring the linebut since Cadillac and Bush run to the outside, I wonder whether MLB or DE might be a better fit with needif McFadden is available, I think we should take himif he's not available, I won't cry. there's plenty of depth at RB in this draft.geraldg (1/20/2008)I was one of the many who wanted to draft McFadden.
