widespreadhaggrd
This is how I see our offseason shaking out with Dimitroff at the helm. Head CoachSteve Spangnuolo-Most people have predicted that we have Ryan in our sights and he is definitely a deserving candidate, but Dimitroff has been waiting for the opportunity to interview Spags and the Falcons finally get their man.CutsJoey Harrington, Byron Leftwich, Joe Horn, Wayne Gandy, Todd Weiner, Lewis Sanders.-TD will look to remake the quarterback position for the Falcons by cutting ties with two of the three starting QB's from 2007. Re-signingMichael BoleyChris RedmanTyson Clabo-The next order of business is re-signing one of our star defenders to a longterm deal. Dimitroff will wait on Deangelo as he still has the option of using the franchise tag on the pending FA just as his former employer did with Asante Samuel this season. Chris Redman showed enough in his 4 starts this season to garner at least a 2 year deal to bridge to the next young QB.FAMax Starks UFA PittsburghAntonio Chatman UFA CincinnattiRandall Gay UFA New EnglandDraft1)Brian Brohm, QB Louisville2)Rashard Mendenhall, RB Illinois2b)Chris Williams, OT Vanderbilt3)Antoine Cason, CB Arizona3b)Dre Moore, DT Maryland4)Art Carmody, K Louisville5)J Leman, LB Illinois6)Jamal Lewis, S Georgia Tech7)Ben Hochstein, OG Nebraska-OmahaDepth ChartOFFENSEQB)Chris Redman, Brian Brohm, DJ ShockleyRB)Jerious Norwood, Rashard Mendenhall, Warrick DunnFB)Ovie Mughelli, Corey McIntyreWR)Roddy White, Laurent Robinson, Michael Jenkins, Antonio ChatmanTE)Alge Crumpler, Martrez Milner, Dwayne BlakelyLT)Max Starks, Chris WilliamsLG)Justin Blalock, Ben HochsteinC)Todd McClure, Doug DatishRG)Kynan ForneyRT)Tyson Clabo, Renardo FosterDEFENSELE)Jamaal Anderson, Chauncey DavisRE)John AbrahamUT)Rod Coleman, Jonathan BabineauxNT)Dre Moore, Trey LewisSLB)Michael Boley, Marcus WilkensMLB)Keith Brooking, J. widespreadhaggrd
Wow I'm amazed I left everyone speachless with my efforts. Not even criticisms.
MidWest Falcon
I would much rather have Brooking at Will LB than middle. Hopefully we draft a MLB. Also, I will not be mad if we get Brohm. Out of all the QB's in the draft I would want him but I would not want him with a top 5 pick because I think there are better players we could get....ex. Jake Long, Dorsey, McFadden, Ellis. Overall it looks good but that is why I'm a fan and TD makes all the money.
widespreadhaggrd
I was waffling on even taking a QB in the first, but the other positions of need (OT, RB, DT) have good depth and there will still be quality players in the second round. I'm beginning to think Brohm is underrated and liken him to Carson Palmer. I also see major problems with the other projected 1st round QB's Matt Ryan (overhyped-bad td/int ratio) and Woodson (bad throwing mechanics which give him the long delivery ala Leftwich).
