thefisherman
I think O'Leary will be a pretty good HC who will also improve our defense instantly. He has proved himself to be a winner over a sustained period of time. Not only that, he's respected by the players.

bozoatl
DANIEL JONES (1/16/2008)I'm sure your heart is in the right place and Notre Dame fans probably wish he was their coach right about now...but I don't want him hereYeah. Notre Dame was all up in the air about his resume being incorrect, but it wasn't like he intentionally deceived them (although he should have corrected it before submitting). Now they're stuck with Weis, who shows that w/out Bellichick, he's just not all that! You bet they'd like to have George about now! He's done a good job at UCF, and although he has some NFL asst. experience, George is a college coach. Bobby Ross won in college, too, but sucked with the Lions. Gotta say NO to any more college guys. Period.
internboy
Before Detroit, Bobby Ross won at San Diego and took them to the Superbowl. They eventually lost to San Fran in that game (i believe). But he wasn't a bad coach in the pros. His problem was having ultimate control once he got to Detroit.
Ja Soul
Didn't Bobbly Ross force Barry Sanders into early retirement? No Thanks...
thefisherman
Ja Soul (1/16/2008)Didn't Bobbly Ross force Barry Sanders into early retirement? No Thanks...Sanders quit b/c the organization wasn't committed to winning, not b/c of how Bobby was coaching. Ross couldn't get the kind of players he needed to succeed. But the NFL is all about 'what have you done for me lately?' Or - you're only as good as your last gig.
hawkeyes
Im a UGA fan and I havent thought about that, but that would be so smart, Aurther and Thomas would look like genusises. O'leary know how to coach for sure.
