formul8or
With Hue Jackson parting do you think it will affect our receivers? Roddy flat out sucked until Hue, he was a great player in college then goes pro and stinks the place up for a couple of years. I worry its because of coaching in college and then Hue that Roddy performed well.I'd just feel better if Roddy was well coached for another year or two so his instincts would become more concrete for catching. ignorant_icarus
Roddy just needed time to mature. I'm sure Hue helped, but it's not like the mechanics Roddy learned leaves when Hue does. Roddy will continue to get better and be the #1 receiver we hoped (but started to doubt) he would be. I believe Laurent will continue to progress as well. FalconWong88
You don't forget things that your former teachers have taught you. Of course, there is a little thing to worry about. If he could have continued his accelerated growth and become even better with Hue and Joe Horn mentoring him. But, what's not to say that our future coaching staff might teach him just as well? UGA Homers LOVE Van Gomer
Wasn't Hue the OC and not the WR coach?Wasn't that the other Petirno?I think Roddy's year had more to do with Joe Horn.
formul8or
Roddy was very good in college too though and then sucked. I'm thinking he might require good constant coaching to perform well. Maybe its motivation or whatever.Of course we could get good WR coaching next year too.
rhourk
Receivers almost always take 3 years to mature and get into the game. You don't know who the new coaches will be or who the #1 QB will be. These things make your worry a little premature.
Atlsport
I worry that there will be to many things to be worried about next season.

charlestonchad
Roddy caught over 1000 yards from the likes of Harrington, Leftwich, and Redman. 2 backups and a backup's backup. I'm pretty sure he'll get better once we get a QB that can lead their WR's to YAC.
Warningx13
Im worried about anyone who has only had one good year, thats including Boley. Espically the recievers. I don't think that White will regress, hopefully, but we need to get a good staff to coach them. That is what the Mora regime didn't do was coach the talent up, so as long as we get a good staff we should be ok. I like Hue though, and I said it before the beginning of the season having him would do wonders because of what he did for TJ and Chad, and now Roddy. Im not sold on Robinson, one game was like 30% of his production and most of the yardage in that game came on one pass.
BlacksburgHokie
We'll be fine.I could see us releasing Horn, naming White the #1 receiver, and letting Robinson and Jenkins battle it out to see who is going to start opposite him. Whichever one looses will make an above-average #3 receiver. Then we can keep Jennings around, draft a receiver in the second day, or grab someone via free agency or from the AFL to fill out the roster.Besides, I don't think we'll be playing many 4 or 5 wide receiver sets this year, so as long as we can get 3 solid contributors, we should be in good shape. budd63
No. Harrington made them all look bad. when redman came in with a little bit more accuracy they were a **** of lot better. Now if we could bet a QB with the ability to throw an accurate deep ball you will see white and robinson soar!
ATLRunner262
I think Roddy will be solid..it usually takes a receiver 3 years to mature in the NFL, considering he played for UAB (not bashing UAB)..I am more worried about Jenkins bobbling the freaking ball..and allowing the opponents Defense to score :pinch:
Tylanta99
I like roddy white and jenkins, but i think they should go get chad johnson. I heard he has been in atlanta a lot.
