heretic
I'm not suremany good Rbs in the second roundmaybe an OT in the first and Qb+Rb in the second, or DT in the first and DT+Rb in the second
heretic
Fixed: DT in the first round and OT+Rb in the second
kjc34
OT jake long! the guys a beast!
red2play
Its SOO rare to get a gifted DT ANYWHERE in the draft. Getting Sedrick Ellis or Glenn Dorsey would be unreal. Then we should get an OT, RB/MLB/OG in the 2nd round.Getting Jonathan Stewart, 5-11 235lbs 4.48 40, running in the 4.4's with 235????? I would have to see it to believe it but the guys the perfect Rb we NEED.
Warningx13
At number 3? Pretending everyones there? Glenn Dorsey, DT LSU. However, there is not a high likely hood in my opinion of that happening. If we cant get him I would rather see us move back to 8-10 and take Kenny Phillips from Miami. There is a big gap in talent for that position between him and the second best safety in this draft, ESPN Insider has him graded at 92 and Jonathon Heffney with like a 78. The Don™
Sedrick Ellis
heretic
Wow, McFadden value is dropping quickly...
Nativebird
DT, OL, DT, OL, DT, OL, DT, OL......(maybe if we say enough, Falcons might actually get the message where their actual problem lies....and have always been, in the trenches.). ukfalc
BPA who fills position of major need (i.e QB/OT/DT/RB).
heretic
And the same can be said about the money he will earn..
Warningx13
I think its the unreasonable depth at RB that is killing him, it's what did it for me anyway. I still wouldn't mind having him but it would make for a better more solid draft to draft one in the second.
Draftnut57
BPA on the Lines , and that will be Sedrick Ellis.
Draftnut57
Nativebird (1/13/2008)DT, OL, DT, OL, DT, OL, DT, OL......(maybe if we say enough, Falcons might actually get the message where their actual problem lies....and have always been, in the trenches.). I love your thinking and your Avatar! With Mr Falcon!
falconfanjason
I'd be happy with an OT or a DT, just pick a good one that will be with us for a long time...I'm no longer sold on McFadden, we can get a quality back in the second round and we have two picks in the second... ±0.5
not RB. I wouldn't draft in RB before the 3rd round.
Falcon first down
Best Player Available. It is not wise to draft for need in the first round. We will have many more picks to address needs.
dyoshot
Whoever is the best player available. They cannot, and should not reach for need. At the #3 pick, I think Jake Long will be available. He is an animal, and that attitude is needed for an oline that is as agressive and vicious as a pack of newborn kittens.
ki45toryu
Nativebird (1/13/2008)DT, OL, DT, OL, DT, OL, DT, OL......(maybe if we say enough, Falcons might actually get the message where their actual problem lies....and have always been, in the trenches.).Just as long as we dont get anyone from Florida, we'll be OK. After watching Reggie Nelson break his ankles more than twice last night, I am confident we dont need anyone from that scrub school.J/k witch ya. But Nelson's cankles must be sore today. malk2.0
I would go OTunless that one RB is there at the 3rd pick, then we should get him
DemDirtyBirds4
I say we hope Jake Long falls to us so we have a solid replacement for Gandy when he is cut. If Long, Dorsey, and McFadden all get taken ahead of us i think we trade down to gain more picks to fill our many holes
SoCalFalconFan
The Falcons have a plethora of needs. BPA is the rule of thumb for them at this point, but my first choice would be OT. Thus, my vote. OT
DemDirtyBirds4
grendel (1/13/2008)It depends on who's there. If McFadden drops to #3, I'd like to see us trade down with the Jets at #6 so they can take McFadden and we get their #6 and 2nd round pick. At #6 I'd look for Dorsey or Ellis, if they drop, otherwise I'd look at Brohm and Clady, in that order.Brohm is not worth a top 10 pick. ftwfalconsfan
I say Dorsey. Drafting him would make our DL much better.
Twinblade
I will be realistic here...1. MIA: Chris Long (if Bill puts a 3-4 defense, Dorsey wouldn't fit there)2. STL: Jake Long (They need a OT)3. OAK: Glenn Dorsey (They need to replace Sapp)4. ATL: McFadden (We need a RB, a player that will sell seats in the dome)5. KC: Ryan Clady (They need a OT)
GEORGIAfan
GLENN "DA BREAST" DORSEY!!!!!HE IS DA LSU D, AND HE WOULD KILL ANY1 IN HIS WAY!!!!
