J.P losman can be had for a 4th or 5th eound draft pick

Recommended Posts

J.P. Losman missed out on a $5 million escalator for 2008 by failing to play in 50 percent of the Bills' offensive snaps last season.

Losman, due $650,000 in 2008, has requested a trade and is expected to be accomodated. The team that acquires Losman will likely look to sign him to an incentive laden deal. He should bring back a mid- to late-round pick.

For the tenth time on this same thread, **** no!...Why would we waste a 4th or 5th rounder on a 1st round pick that got beat out by a late third round pick his rookie season! Losman is a younger version of Joey Harrington...please people stop with the nonsense!

For a 5th round pick and a 650k current contract it might not be that bad of a move.

The guy has been hurt a few times but it sounds like he got a raw deal in Buffalo.

Speculation was the owner Ralph Wilson had him benched so he wouldnt reach some expensive incentive marks, like playing in 50% of the snaps.

Who will start for this team next year at QB? If we draft a Brohm or Ryan would the coach let him start out of the gate? Its been done but not all that often with great success.

A Losman could lead the team next year and at least be a viable backup after that.

If he could be had on the cheap its not that outrageous a move.

Redman can start next year. He looked better the last 2 games than Losman has ever looked.

I'll tell you why. Because Redman has already had better career starts in his 3 or 4 games than Losman has had since being the #22 pick in the 1st round in 2004!

And just how good did Redman look against Tampa? 0.0 QB rating.

Do you think the Seattle team he played was the one who played yesterday?

For a 5th round pick it might be a good safety net for this team. Im not advocating him as the answer but a small piece to a huge puzzle.

For a guy who hadn't played in 3 years that was the only bad game he had while starting! TB has made a few QBs look bad of the years...even the great YKW! All I am saying is we do not need or want Losman or waste a pick because we already have something better at a lesser price...we'll draft a QB to compliment him!

2006 for Losman

started all games 268 for 420 62.5 completion % the highest in bills history.

3,051 yards

19 TD 14 INT

84.9 QB Rating

For a 5th round pick....I still say its not crazy.

Redman has started 10 games in his entire 8 year career.

I was just about to post that

Jay Cutler...3,497 yards 20 tds 14 ints 88 passer rating

Philip Rivers.....3,152yards 21 tds 15 ints 82 passer rating

Vince Young .....2,546 yards 9 tds 17 ints 71 passer rating

Matt Schaub......2,241 yards 9 tds 9 ints 87 passer rating

J.P Losman......3,051 yards 19 TD 14 INT 84.9 passer Ratin

this is all of there first year as a starter stats.....You cant tell me this guy is not worth a 5th round pick or even a 4th
