Norwood32
I'm thinking with this we would be a pretty good team next year. Keep in mind our rookies will improve and hopefully Jamaal can get a friggin sack!GM/CoachesGM: Buddy Nix - Built a good SD team.HC: Mike Singletary - The man wants to come here!!OC: Hue Jackson - Looked really good after taking over with the play calling.DC: Mike Zimmer - Excellent job, I hope we can keep and that he doesn't leave to be a HC.Release/Retire/Free AgentOT...Wayne Gandy - Old and coming off an injuryRB...Warrick Dunn - Good man, but just doesn't have it any more. Dunn is Done.WR/KR...Adam Jennings - Failed at returning punts and kickoffs.OT...Quinn Ojinnaka - False Start #76QB...Byron Leftwich - Fragile and long wind-upQB...Joey Harrington - Solid back-up but still...WR...Michael Jenkins - BUST! Roddy improved, all Jenkins did was give himself a new nickname "Pick 6"TE...Dwayne Blakley(FA) - No need to re-sign him.CB...Omare Lowe(FA) - Coming off an injury, no need to re-sign him.FS...Chris Crocker(FA) - Has played good but I think its about time Jimmy Williams startedCB/SS...Antoine Harris - I thought he was good but Grimes has showed he can ball.CB...Lewis Sanders - lmfaoK...Morten Andersen - Will most likely retire and we better get a K in the draft.WR...Brian Finneran - Back-to-back knee injuries...Re-SignOG...Tyson Clabo - Has showed he can play at RG or RT.DE...Chauncey Davis - Has played good in limited action and can pass rush.LB...Michael Boley - PRO BOLEY!!! LB...Demorrio Williams - Good young player although this year wasn't his best. No need to let him goCB...DeAngelo Hall - Top 10 corner, don't be stupid and let him go. Remember Kerney?SignQB...Daunte Culpepper(OAK) - Hopefully his knee has fully healed. Solid Back-up.WR...Bryant Johnson(ARZ) - Good WR but never got action in ARZ. Jenkins replacementWR/KR...Jerome Mathis(HOU) - Proven KR. Jennings replacementOT...Max Starks(PIT) - Depth on OLFS/CB...Jordan Babineaux(SEA) - Good versatile player. Babineaux brothers together.TradeKynan Forney to Oakland for a 5th Round Pick. - Fits their scheme, not ours.DraftRound - Name - Pos. - College - Height - Weight - 40 Time1 - Darren McFadden - RB - Arkansas - 6.2 - 210 - 4.42With Dunn gone, we need him.2 - Jeff Otah - OT - Pittsburgh - 6.6 - 340 - 5.36Will replace Wayne Gandy2 - Chad Henne - QB - Michigan - 6.2 - 225 - 5.18(HOU)NFL ready QB. scott24falcs
Good post. I like your mock draft. You have Adam Kraus going in the 6th round, and someone else on these boards has him as a 2nd rounder, so I don't know what to think. I've never seen him play. I think Demorrio William's days with the Falcons are over. I think the coaching staff likes what they see in Nicholas.I'm not a big fan of Max Starks either, I think he will get a good bit of money, and frankly I think we're better off drafting someone. This is a good write-up though.

I agree that Stephen Nicholas could start, but it would be better to have both of them and Nicholas can get more playing time then he did this year. I don't think Max Starks will ask for too much money, but he is a young player and has a lot of upside plus hes huge. And thanks, this is the first time I did this so it's good to hear compliments. I really think either Clabo or Foster could be the future RT with us.

I see what you mean thats why I have us taking Jeff Otah in the 2nd round, we need to draft at least 1 OL in the first day. I agree about Clabo and Foster, they are the future of our O-Line. Foster looked really good this season before he went down with the injury. I guess one good thing Petrino did was get us Renardo Foster. defensedefensedefense
Good mock...Instead of Adam Kraus in the 6th, id rather take a flyer on King Dunlap if he lasts... He has everything you want in a LT, bar experience and technique and could well turn into the steal of the draft. He needs to sharpen up on his run blocking, but with good coaching maybe he could start within a couple of years...I would try and target an OL in FA to take over from Forney... Stacy Andrews is the first that comes to mind, but he may not be available. Im hoping he is though.I think its more likely for Otah to start at RT, and Weiner at LT for a season... But thats up to our coaches, whoever the ##### they are! lol I also think Clabo should be the backup at RT if he doesnt beat Otah out, i think he played pretty well there... So i dont think its totally necessary to pick up Starks in the OS...Also in the OS, i would hope we make Corey Williams form GB a top priority if they dont lock him up... We need a starting quality DT with all the injuries we have had this season and Lewis is certainly no lock to be fully fit at the start of next season...Your 1st 3 picks are pretty good though;)
Lord Sarcomere
By far one of the best mocks I've seen for a while now;). It fills almost every hole, and in doing so it does it quite well.

I told you the OL is going to be changed around depending on the coaches and who develops to be better at the position. Corey Williams would also be a great addition perhaps I will include him in an updated version of my mock later on;). Good thing is Petrino's OL coach left so now we can get an NFL quality coach, now if only the strength and conditioning coach could leave too, or hopefully get fired.
