Stafford's impact felt in hometown

Applications from students at sophomore quarterback Matthew Stafford's former high school to the University of Georgia are soaring. Nearly 20 percent of Highland Park High School's senior class -106 students - have applied to Georgia, according to Park Cities People.

"Stafford has definitely increased the popularity of Georgia," student Matt Lewis, 17, told the publication. "Some people don't really want to go there on their own, but they apply because Stafford is there."

Wow, 20% of seniors from a single H.S. applying to a particular school that's 4 states away. :)
