49er win could help us

I'm not looking to lose the remainder of our games, but the 49er shock win against the Bengals last night would move us ahead of New England (they have San Francisco's 1st round pick) in the next draft. We may not want him, but conventional wisdom has New England getting McFadden if available. That would at least give us the option of taking him.

I'd still rather see us win out, but I have to look for silver linings where I can find them!

No doubt. We do still have a game against AZ though, and if there was ever a team that could choke against us, it is AZ.

But, yes, that win by the 9ers moved us up to 3rd in the draft. I think because NYJ play NE twice, we really don't have to worry about them whether they tie us or not recordwise, they'll lose out based on SOS.

Now if we could just get the Rams to win one more game, it could get really interesting. I'm not set on the fact that we could possibly win two more games. If we win today, we'll probably win out. I think Seattle is third fiddle in the Playoffs, so a win in that last week won't make a difference in when and where they play in the playoffs. They won't be playing for homefield advantage, so they may just bench everyone that last week.

I don't know if the NYJ and NE theory is correct. You have to also remember that they play Miami twice a year and they haven't won a game.

Ah, that is very true, but as of now, the Jets are behind us based on SOS. We play Seattle, AZ and TB, all in weak divisions, so I don't think our SOS will go higher over these next three weeks.

And we did play the Rams and 49ers, only slightly better than Miami. hahahaha

But, yes, I hadn't thought of the Miami influence, so you are right about that.
