QB for next year

I would love to see Shockley come back from this injury and get an honest shot at this. He is the most mobile of the bunch, has a strong arm, and he can lead this team in my opinion. Unless we seriously beef up our O-line, I think he has the best chance to succeed, because of his mobility. I just hope he has fully recovered, and that he gets enough reps to be considered for the job.

Wtf is with you people...Shockley has never taken a **** NFL regular season snap or against a first team defense stfu and stop thinking hes a savior until you see him really play

romo and brady had never taken regular season snaps and look how they turned out.

i am not saying he is a savior but i am saying give him a shot. i mean come on we gave redman a shot! plus we have to throw someone in because we shouldnt start our new qb.

Totally agree with that...but if you read other threads everyones saying Shockley should start!!! shockley should start!!!.....great but lets seem him play more than 2 games without falling to the turf and face a 1st team offense before we see him play...and seriously....he seems a bit injury prone....he hurt his knee at the end of his GA season....and then ATL.....i mean i dont want to ride on him......if he didnt get hurt....who knows we COULD be like 10-3......because we have been in almost every game until harrington or leftwich took us out....harrington every game....and leftwich...TN......fumbling the toss......

I voted Shockley, though Redman would be fine too. I just don't want to see us waste a pick this year on a QB. No QB is a quick fix for this franchise, and none of the current crop is 'Manning' that you build a franchise around.

We need OL, RB, DL and LB depth so badly, that what we need behind center is a guy that can make the throws and doesn't make too many bad decisions. At this point, I think you see what you have in Shockley, and you rebuild this team as defensive power and power running team. Given that, it really doesn't matter who is under center, and if you have something in Shock, great, if not, you know Redman can make the throws and will take a hit. You know what you have in Lefty and Scarrington. What do you have to lose? Regardless of who is under center, we are not a playoff team next season, and you won't have the veteran leadership you do this year. Brooking, Dunn, Milloy, Hall, Crumpler will all be looking at exit plans in 4 weeks.

Come next fall, this will be a very different team..

Come on man.....think reasonable here.....lets seem him play against a 1st team D......then i will pass my judgement....hes extremely talented......but he also was playing a 2nd team D behind his 1/2 team o line.....not very solid evidence....

but why not give him a chance like anderson, romo, and brady got?

You know not all the players jumpship....and most of them are loyal....kinda stupid of you saying they are looking for exit plans.....milloy and hall and a year left....crump has 2 yrs left...so shutup and know your facts...#####.

hall has 2 years left i think but he just wants money now. they wont jump.

I would like to see Shockley get a Fair Shot at the job. When he finally took over in Athens there were many who doubted his ability to lead the Dawgs. He had Never been the starter and when he came on the field to get a series or two he often seemed to be trying a little too hard. Maybe he was, that would be natural in that situation.

When he got his real chance to prove himself he did so--with style and class, leading the Dawgs to a SEC Championship season. No small feat winning the championship of the toughest conference in college football.

Maybe he is not yet ready for prime time in the NFL BUT I am betting that he IS READY and that he will do a better job than anyone who has been on the field for the Falcons this year.

Lefty and Harrington are both OK but they are also both as mobile as a tree--they only move great when they are being cut down.

Shockley is mobile and a quick thinker.
