BobDigital v3 Ticked Ed.
I'm just saying....BP did not tell God to give Byron big fat chubby fingers and very slow moving arms BP is not the reason Dunn s legs no longer move fast.BP is not the reason Joey has the arm strength of a tiny boy.Seems like people are starting to pile on the guy. UGA Homers LOVE Van Gomer
1. No but he decided to play Byron behind a patchwork offensive line after he was coming off an injury. Oh and he was calling plays that the team had never practiced.2. Petrino was the one that decided to run a "power" running game when you didn't have the personnel. It's a little hard to run when you're getting tackled in the backfield.3. Petirno thought Joey would be just fine until after the first game and then he threw him under a bus.Is Petrino the devil? No.Did he put the players in situations where they would fail? Yes.Coaches are supposed to put their players in positions where they can suceed. swanlee
He totally deserves to be piled on.I don't think we have EVER seen this type of selfish act in a professional sport. He lied to the owner but he also betrayed the players and especially he betrayed the Assistant and Position coaches he hired. These Position and Assistant coaches moved there families from around the country to be here based on Petrino's words. These families now have to worry about if they are going to be here next year, where they need to move their families yet again within 1 year, or they have to worry if they are going to have jobs at all. Petrino said it best in his notes to the players when he said he did what was best for HIM!!! He did not consider anyone else. This is by definition selfish in nature and when you become a professional these are things you simply do not do.
fansince78
I like the guy a lot better now than when he was coach. What he can be blamed for was trying to be stubborn and implement a "system" that was missing the key element instead of playing the hand he was dealt. Even Mora and the Knapptime offense would have gotten more wins this season.

Guest Gritz
No one is denying that there were and still are problems with this franchise that had and have nothing to do with Petrino. But Petrino was, is and will be a dirtbag forever. He laid in wait like a snake trying to steal Tommy Tuberville's job while Tuberville was still the head coach at Auburn. And Petrino was supposedly Tuberville's "friend."No, Petrino is a despicable, worthless human being and deserves every bit of venom that is currently being directed at him.Our problems are our problems. His problems are well documented too.

Atlsport
Has BP hate has gone too far?Nah, but if you really wanted to stir the pot all you need to try the overused race card. Something like, Petrino's getting off easy because he's white.

Demetrius Dew
No I don't think it has gone to far, that is just unacceptable what he did. The Arkansas job was not going anywhere he could of at least finished the job he started. The fact that he lied to the owner and the players is what makes it worse.
