UGA Homers LOVE Van Gomer
Did anyone else hear this?It was worse than I thought. We all know about the no talking stuff but Dunn was saying that Petrino would call plays they never practiced during games. He even did it for Leftwhich. Warrick said Byron would be in the huddle and he would hear the play call and say "what is that?"I knew there were times that they looked like they had not even practiced.I am SOOOOOO glad he's gone and I think the front office knew they made a mistake but didn't want to look foolish and fire him 1 year in.Thankfully he quit and went back to college. That is ridiculous. The more the truth comes out the more sense it makes. I started to question his playcalling, even though I know I don't know anything about playcalling, when he kept running Dunn up the middle. I almost drove off the road when I heard that.Dunn also talked about how Petrino NEVER once stood up and took blame for anything. It was always the players fault. I kind of picked up on this because Dan Reeves always would take the blame. I always respected him for that. But the play calling thing makes sense. I knew there were a few times where it looked like the QB had no clue what they were supposed to do with the ball.Dunn used the Tampa game as an example. He said when Leftwhich was in Petrino was calling plays they had NEVER ran at any time before. The way Leftwhich looked lost makes more sense now. Vicious
I have a feeling that Arkansas is going to rue the day that they signed hop scotch Quitrino. He is going to turn a lot of commits hopes into doubts. If I was thinking about going to Arkansas before I wouldn't now. I think Arkansas just shot themselves in the foot. Suuuuuuuwwwweeeeeee.Arkansas's in trouble and they're recruiting's gonna suffer bad. Yet he did us a favor in the process. Well he did us a favor in so much as Mckay and Blank gets the next HC thing right.

Someone already posted, or I heard it on sports center, that JA was asked by current players still at Arkansas what he thought about Petrino and he told them he couldn't be trusted and pretty much was just a snake in the grass. I don't think Arkansas was really thinking too hard when they made this decision. It will be interesting to see what effect this has on their program.Everyone, and I mean everyone, that I have heard in the media has blasted Petrino. Ark has got to be feeling a huge case of buyers remorse right now. I know I would.

ygtisback
Dunn needs to shut up....his 2.1ypc is 40% of the reason why the falcons are 3-10...the rest i blame on Vick...can we stop blaming the coach..he's gone and is history...the falcons suck...a qb acts up goes to jail and the rest of the players cannot fill his shoes?..it's a miracle we even won 3 games...with Jim Mora jnr. at the helm of this current team we'll have been competing with the Pats for nfl glory and i dont mean 16-0...if i wanna hear any one diss the coash it should be players like Abraham and Boley who have showed up to work everyday and let the numbers speak for themselves even though vick aint here...players play and coaches coach...Petrino actually had some guts in his playcalling..it wasnt always a draw play out of the shoutgun formation for a no gain and a punt when Mora and co were running this ship...too bad we all fooled ourselves into believing Joey Harrington was the answer... Life gotta be real bad for a man to run away from 5million a year...think about it..

I'll take word of Warrick Dunn because he's still here rather that the guy that left all his assistants hanging in the wind.

trufalconfan
I didn't hear it but the "play calling gate" makes sense. I think he's been planning to leave since the second game. You could never tell wether he was happy/mad but he ALWAYS looked smug !! I'm glad he's gone now though and it's going to be hillarious when McFadden leaves and he's left with nothing !! They will be the dorrmat for the next two years then he'll leave again.
keithbrooking56
lol I knew Pestinko was not cut out to be a real NFL coach, told you guys that for months, and now to hear he was calling in plays they didn't even practice?? ROFL oh man even though its killed my own team I have to laugh and shake my head at this.

Grim Truth
I think it is time everyone face facts. Petrino wasn't the victim of his players, the players were the victims of Petrino. When people like Dunn, Crump, etc start speaking out, you know something is up. Good by Bobby! Called plays that werent even practiced.... GEEZUS! This isn't high school football. No wonder Hall and co. trashed him. He treated them like children. Grady Jackson did an interview where he said his (Bobby's) 'motivational speeches' left people wondering "where is this going?" Bobby was never meant for the NFL, with players who make more then he does and he'll have to live with for years to come...See ya Bobby!
