i don't want to sound like an idoit but how bad is this ,can we sign players, how many players are going to get cut and isn't our 1st round pick going to cost a **** of alot more than this?

Depending on what moves we make its pretty bad..We are not going to be competing with other teams looking for top tier free agents espcially the big name oline ones that might hit the market

those numbers won't stay that way. i am sure there are going to be player evaluations once the new coach comes in and players will get cut, which will give the team more cash to work with.

Washington is going to be in cap **** for awhile because of all those big contracts they signed for players like Coles, Randle El, etc.

They will be able to get it down, but they are going to be hurting for awhile

Maybe you should have posted the whole article, in which it also specifies how many players are under contract. We have like 53, compared to everyone else who has like 30ish. After those cuts and retirements, and the money from Vick, we will shoot up that ranking.

Honestly, if the team does cut Vick, I believe in June, they will get money back. I am not how much, but it might be quite a bit

Yeah, Atlanta is going to have cap space out the wazoo this off-season. The question is whether we want to use a lot of it or go for a more methodical fix, the latter being my preference.

GO SOONERS!!!! (12/12/2007)
we'll be 20 mil under when we get that vick money

Please don't fall for that fallacy of thinking we're getting any money from Mr. Vick. He'd have to personally sign over a check to Mr. Blank in order for the team to get any cap relief. He and his lawyers would quickly file for bankruptcy before that happens.

how does a team like SD have all that talent and still under the cap by 30 mil

they build successfully though the draft

And they only have 44 people signed instead of 52. Trust me, I'm POSITIVE that some cuts will be made that free up plenty of room...

I would like some cuts but can Blank cut aging veterans like Brooking and Dunn
