FalconMama
Watching ESPN news and a reporter said per Petrino that Arthur Blank and staff knew for weeks that Petrino was leaving. He also said he and his family didnt like living in Atlanta, he wanted more control over player personnell and he disliked the coaching style of the NFL.But according to Petrino Blank and co knew for weeks that he was going back to college.Petrino needs to really cut his bs. Serge Storms
I hope he enjoys the huge drop in pay while playing for what will be the bottom of the SEC next year.
analogk37
Given the way he handed the QB situation, I'd have to say that Petrino probably "thought" he told everyone he was leaving... except that he really only told himself in his mind. :P

tree
Arthur saw this excuse coming.. and basically already said that he asked Patrino about his family all the time in thier weekly Monday lunches. How can you believe the guy that just broke 2 contracts with his signature and a bunch of handshakes attached?

oregonsfan
This from the man who has signed 20 years worth of contracts in the last 18 months? I'm sure he has his side of the story he wants to tell...the problem is that his credibility is shot and likely won't ever be regained. Statick
There's nothing, absolutely NOTHING that Petrino can say to convince me that he isn't a lying, POS loser. He was a boy among men while in the NFL and now he's going back to what he's used to.Like Blank said, next time, check the history of the coach before pulling the trigger on another hire.
