Peyton
Reason #1 - What decent college coach is going to want to commit to Petrino's staff after what Bobby just did to his staff in Atlanta?Reason #2 - When Bob Stoops walks into homes in Arkansas and tells the top recruits "you don't want to play there, Petrino is a proven quitter and he is going to quit on you", how is any decent recruit going to possibly want to play at Arkansas?Reason #3 - The expectations in Arkansas are UNREAL. With the teams they have to play and the fact that Arkansas is a cesspool and nobody should really want to go thier in the first place, they shouldn't expect to do much better than .500 . Nutt was a lot better than .500, but alumnus still pressured him out of there.Reaon #4 - McFadden will be gone next year, Hillis will be gone next year, and I predict that Felix Jones will leave early as well. If you watched Arkansas this year, you know that is basically the entire offense. If Felix goes, Arkansas will be lucky to win 4 or 5 games next year. And guess what Arkansas? Even if I am 100% wrong and Petrino comes through with flying colors, you are still screwed!! If Petrino has even 1 impressive season, he will bolt Arkansas at the first chance to get a better job, and there are about 50 jobs in college better than coaching Arkansas. However, the SEC is the premiere football conference and will never have a shortage of blue chip recruits. Plus, after what he did at Louisville, kids will certainly want to play in his stat-friendly offense. #3: No. I've been to their campus several times and Arkansas has world class athletic facilities. The SEC is certainly hyper-competitive but to say they will be lucky to be .500 is ridiculous. They were 8-4 and knocked off #1 LSU.#4: Yea, McFadden will be gone but there is NO way Felix Jones goes anywhere. This might be similar to when Barry Sanders had to backup Thurman Thomas. Felix might be better than McFadden and he can't wait to show what he can do as the featured back. Anyhow, Petrino certainly cannot be trusted. That press conference made me want to vomit. How sick is it to watch your team get destroyed on MNF, only to see your coach on ESPN doing pig calls with hill people the next day. Un-Freakin'-believable!
