Herr Doktor
Here it is in a bubble. We have accepted mediocrity and down right ineptness for 40 years. Arthur Blank must now turn this franchise over to a leader like Bill Cowher-WHO CARES HOW MUCH IT COSTS!!!!!!!!! The biggest reason Bill Cowher makes sense, or is the only candidate qualified for this Mission Impossible is that he could build a team around any style of quarterback, kept a highly competitive team on the field (with his hands tied financially) and was able to reload time and again, year after year, after losing pro bowler after pro bowler. Thus anything short of Bill Cowher is unacceptable to the fans, the brethren on this board, and the world in general. I am sick of losing, I am sick of looking foolish and I am sick of that feeling in my heart at the beginning of every game that we have NO CHANCE TO WIN. Without a chance to win, WHY BOTHER. ANd it scares me to think, WHY BOTHER. THis is the first year in the Blank regime that I have not attended a game in person this year. ANd next year ain't looking to bright either...........................UNLESS MCKAY AND BLANK BRING COWHER HOME. ANYTHING LESS IS NOW UNACCEPTABLE. WE ARE SICK OF LOSING AND LOOKING LIKE A POP WARNER TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!Get this done for us, or sell the team and let someone else do it. ITs time for a real coach, no more fads. No more Guru's. No more fancy offenses. Its time to hire THE ONLY COACH ACCEPTABLE. Bring him home McKay!
Herr Doktor
I have softened my stance a little after my angry tirade. We need a coach with NFL experience. I think We have several good coaches on our staff. Emmit Thomas may not be such a bad idea. I think Hue Jackson will be a head coach one day. ANd Zim may be a good one to look at. I went with Cowher, only because of what he did in Pitt. HE had to lose players year after year, worked with a slash QB and with more common styles of QB. HE did it with a a franchise that will not spend the massive jack on one player. We need stability, a foundation and we need savvy drafts for at least the next 3 years. I am not sure who I would like to see as head coach. But hopefully this time, the management team won't settle for a coward. Any man who would abandone his assistants and team like that is a little punk b**ch. How sorry can you be? I hope for our sake, Emmit comes in and instills a little unity and a little pride and we close out the season in a positive note.
dnorris
I've been saying since game 4 or 5 Petrino had to go and we need a coach with Cowher's persona and leadership. If McKay skips talking to Cowher, I say he's gotta go too. Cowher is the answer to our coaching woes, and I also think we either need to try to get Darren McFadden and trade for a QB (Derek Anderson pops up in my mind first and foremost there) or take a shot on Colt Brennan in the draft. Know what sucks though? if the season ended now, guess who, via a trade last year or the year before, gets the #2 pick in round one?? friggin NEW ENGLAND believe it or not! FalconMama
Think McKay would allow it?
