ATLballer
No one can deny that BP looked lost on more than a few occasions....People were beginning to question his skill as a NFL coach.....I think Bobby is in that category with Nick Saban, S Spurrier and pete carol....Why wouldnt a coach with a free pass for at least 2 to 3 years and a GM thats a friend, not give it at least a sporting chance.....The Falcons had no place to go but up....Obviously McKay and Bobby were not on the same page. Thats the only reason I can come up with the signing of Ovie Mughelli.....You sign the highest paid FB in the history of the NFL and he's inactive....If BP was the guru coach they said he was b4 he started, He would have wanted to at least see how he would fare as a Head Cpach....I really think Bobby leaving saved us 5 years of heart ache

uup115
I could not agree with you more...this was discussed and foolishly argued against after the first Saints game when he punted the game away and the Titans game when he pitched the game away. Herr Doktor
I was really pulling for Coach Petrino. HAving said that, if he is ready to leave and feels he is in over his head, then its for the best clearly. He pulled a Saban, and recognized he is a college coach. Oh well. Back to the drawing board. Grim Truth
The not playing Ovie part is unexcusable... Benefit is maybe the new coach'll put him in, and give Norwood more carries... His game-high this season is 9...... 9!
