bigmildog
I am here to say that I was a big supporter of Petrino. I was always one saying "He has a good system, he is the right man to do the job." Well clearly I'm not the right guy to judge who is the right guy. I am so very disappointed in the outcome of this season and this really adds to that. I have to carefully watch what I say because I'm very upset and perhaps I should have waited a bit longer before I made a post. I was under the impression that Petrino had something written into his contract so that tis couldn't happen. Well once again I was wrong! I can't get over the fact that we will be starting over again with a whole new Offense and a new coaching staff. I can't believe that he would hang his Assistants out to dry like that. Jedi.Falcon
I join that list as well. I supported that #####-clown, thinking he had some wonderful long-term plan to fix this team. I feel betrayed.I hope Bobby Petrino never wins another game in his sorry, pathetic life. Now I know how Louisville fans felt when he left them. Now I know what a piece of trash that guy is. uup115
consider yourself lucky...most people will continue to believe Blank is interested in winning and not stealing your money. we will be on our 6th head coach by kickoff next year...what do you think the problem is? bigmildog
rev_hal (12/11/2007)You are forgiven. Welcome back to the fold. Thanks Rev. I just don't understand why he would even take the job. I realize that he probably took the job with the understanding that he would have Vick as his QB. That was a real curveball for all of us and presented a huge challenge to him and his staff, but as a supposed "Offensive Genius" he should have really welcomed the challenge and wanted to prove that he was "The Man". Instead he took the Cowards way out. I thik that he has really, and finally, ruined the possibilities of many more college coaches getting a chance in the NFL. He is a PYLON! I love what zimmer has done with the D, and i know hue jackson can take over for OC, and turn this Offense around. Zimmer should be HC, because we have a more likely chance of keep both if we make zimmer the HC, because hue jackson has only been OC for a year. I was in heavenwith Petrino coaching my Falcons. I really thought he would stick it out for at least three years. What a waste! The only good thing is that he gave us a good draft and some things to build on such as Houston, Robinson and Blaylock, maybe even Anderson. Zimmer seems good also. But just to leave like that is crazy.Just no CHARACTER at all. Arkansas will have a good coach until the next 'big' job opens up.

I am feeling many things tonight, but surprise is not one of themI agree with your sentiments Rev. Petrino was a terrible hire and I felt like most people should have known it. But as a fan I suppose hope springs eternal. But in all honesty this occurance further deepens my concern about our owner. I have total confidence that this hire was mainly because Blank wanted to make a big splash by hiring some **** guru. Well Arthur, all the chips are down now. You've shown poor judgement time after time. Maybe running an NFL team isn't excatly like running a retail giant. You MIGHT want to consider hiring someone with a little bit of a track record as a HC in this league as opposed to reaching out for the biggest idiot willing to take the job. zakelsta
I have no idea what to think. I trusted in our staff to work on a long term solution, as they were saying. Now I dont know what to do....We CAN'T put the draft in McKay's hands or we'l end up with 7 WR's. I can't say go for this coach, or that coach, because I was a big supporter of Petrino coming in, and he was a HUGE bust.I can't say go for this player, or that quarterback, because i was a big supporter of Vick being drafted, Roddy and Jenks being drafted. I dont know what to do. I'm honestly dumbfounded by Petrino's resignation. This team is literally falling apart. I dont know who can fix it.
