jidady
He did have one and it was quite expensive if he went back to college. Apparently, Blank waived it due to the unusual circumstances of Petrino's tenure.

ATLBrave
DeathFromAbove (12/11/2007)Blank and McKay are idiots...Why? It was Blanks money, not your's. There was a buyout, but it looks like Blank waived it.
BlacksburgHokie
Why keep him around if he doesn't want to coach for us anymore?
jidady
"He waived it? Wow."That's what the guy on FoxSports Radio said. I have to be honest that I have no problem with the team testing Petrino's resolve by letting him interview for college coaching gigs. If he doesn't want to be here, we need to know it. If he is leaving, though, I do believe we should hold him to his contract. Otherwise, the coaches who follow him aren't going to worry about such clauses since we have a track record of not enforcing them.
