Sources: Torn knee ligament could force Bush out for season

New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush has been diagnosed with a torn ligament in his knee that could sideline him the rest of the season, sources said.

Bush has a tear in his posterior cruciate ligament, a source close to the running back said. A Saints source confirmed the diagnosis but said Bush and the team were getting a second opinion from noted orthopedic specialist Dr. James Andrews to determine if surgery is necessary.

Bush practiced lightly on Thursday. He is listed as questionable for the Saints' Monday night game against the Atlanta Falcons, but Bush told a source he did not expect to play. The rest of his season was also in doubt, the source said.

Chris Mortensen covers the NFL for ESPN.com. ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli contributed to this report.

No link, saw it on espn bottomline during "Rome is Burning" as breaking news. Might be out for season.
Too bad for Reggie and the Saints, but good for us however. Reggie Bush kills us so it's good that he's sidelined. Now if he can get just get Brees and Colston to join him.....:)

Just to let you know Reggie's never even gained 100 all purpose yards in a game against the birds. But it is 1 less weapon to deal with.

As much as I can't stand the Saints I really hate to hear that about any person. Yeah our Falcons are beat and banged up and without our normal QB but if a team is healthy and we defeat them it just makes the victory that much sweeter. :D
