totalbirdbrain
Hills, Arnold, and Coutu will be coming off of injury.nfldraftscout doesn't even have Will Arnold getting drafted.I agree with the positions that you are seeking, justprobably not some of the individuals.Go Falcons!!! totalbirdbrain
Tony Hills is out for the year with a broken fibula. Thisafter previously having major knee surgery early at Texas. Unfortunately, with his injury, he cannot be graded completely so there is a biggerrisk...imo.According to reports, Brandon Coutu was having additional problems withhis hamstring. Even if not serious, clearly, he is not the same kicker that he was priorto the 2006 injury. There are some other place kickers that arevery accurate with 50-55 yard range instead. As I don't think Kerney will make the probowl (despite voting for him numeroustimes) and despite having a pretty productive year, I think we get a 4th roundpick and not a 3rd. Don't think we get a pick for Griffith. Assuming we got the second 3rd round pick you mention, and were draftingMLB, I'd be more interested in Goff or Leman, whoever is still on the board.Think Moffitt goes in day 2. Possibly Vince Hall from Virginia Techif he runs better than predicted.Myself, I'd rather go with a big athletic college tackle and move them insidethan most of the natural college guards. Boley59
valid points i like your argument maybe we can take a godser cherilus as for natural gaurds i reference ben grubbs he was a college guard and has been very good this year...As for coutu i still think he is the pick once he is healed he will get his range back in time it is not an easy process i know myself i was a d3 place kicker and blew my knee out and had trouble getting my range back for 2 years but when i did i was just as good as new but still a little wide right lol:P
MSalmon
Boley59 (12/4/2007)We get a 3rd for kerney a 6th for rossum and a 7th for griffith1-QB Brian Brohm Franchise qb--Most likely yes2-OT Tony Hills LT starterThis won't happen; knee injury may even end career2-OG Will Arnold RG starterInteresting prospect3-DT Red Bryant DT depth--Not bad pick3-ILB Ben moffitt Future starter--Nice starter4-CB Red Richardson Playmaking depth5-K Brandon Coutu Morten needs to enjoy retirement6-RB Jehuu Caulcrick Powerback for depth/competition with snelling6-DE Johnny Dingle Depth very good in the run7-OT Charles Myles Depth.7-WR Darnell Jenkins KR help/depthNOt a bad mock at all, wish you would post links of info concerning picks--easier to see your thought process.I don't think we wait that late to draft a rb. I think folks are confusing power back with Michael Bush in Petrino's offense. Power back is really about a move the pile type guy, bush just happened to be huge. Kolby Smith was/is a powerback type. He's not Norwood fast. ****, Emmit Smith was a powerback type.
scar988
although I think we will only get a 4th for Kerney, I like the positions your are going with. I personally believe we should take a few OT's, but if the team decides one is enoguh that would be fine too. I just want some OL help and I want it early. Boley59
Jehuu Caulcrick is a power back i happen to catch to many michigan state games and this kid moves the pile he runs very hard but gets little recognition nationally due to ducketts failures as a pro...he will be a late pick that could be a good steal he runs very hard and myself personally i believe he could be a good player.
