hall star
Don't you realize by now its ESPN. They flip flop on every issue. Its funny how people really consider them experts. We just have to get used to it sadly.
Carter
The people on ESPN constantly go back on what they have previously said... to a point where it's ridiculously comical at times. I remember one segment where Mark May was pointing out how Lou Holtz kept making points and then would say stuff after someone else brought up a conflicting point that would totally contradict what he had said not even a minute earlier. It was ridiculous. At least Skip Bayless is a consistent idiot and sticks by what he says... even if it's truly ********.But yeah.... Herbstreit is a huuuuuge OSU homer. ****, he was born in Ohio and played QB at OSU... what do you expect?

avatar30
yeah he tried to explain himself on buck and kinkade, but he failed miserably.. espn has too much power.. a number of harris pollsters were interviewed and they were clear that they felt espn did indeed influence the voting. one guy said that it seemed to him people thought there was a rule due to what kirk said.. mike slive said they need to educate the voters based on the results because it was clear they didn't know that rule did not exist.. even if espn made it a rule and ignored uga's body of work and kept hammering it as if it was a rule.. after richt's interview on saturday where he pointed out that wasn't a rule, holtz and may said it's not a rule, but it should be and thus voters should act as if it was a rule.. LOL kirk is a complete tool.. guy did nothing in college.. nothing in the nfl and he is now an expert? he is no expert.. a complete tool.. he was arguing last year for michigan saying that you can't hold them not winning their conference against then and no team should be affected by that and he argued against uf.. and then this year he said after the oklahoma game that you can't consider teams like uga or kansas who didn't win their conference.. it's not reversal, it's idiotic junk that he wanted to make up so espn could get their lsu/osu matchup. when kirk was asked about his comments he said that it was clear to him that michigan and osu was the two best teams last year which is why he said that.. Same Ol Falcons
If Georgia had won all of their games this would be a non-issue but since they didn't they fall in the catergory called "at the mercy of the pollsters and critics"
Lightmare
Meh, I don't care much for Herb. He's a homer, because he played there. What can you say? Who else wouldn't be? He'd be criticized for not taking up for them. He talks out of his azz too much IMO.I only watch GameDay now because of Corso and the funny signs in the background anyway. LawDawg
Someone should really ask him about his inconsistant and hypocritical stance this year as opposed to last year, but I doubt his own network will ever put him in that position. But he should be called out nonetheless. Headshot
Herby is a homer because he played for Ohio State...so he's allowed to be. Just like Jesse Palmer is a huge Florida homer. At the end of the day, this really comes down to ESPN's contract that they have with the Big Ten. I'm sure someone mentioned to Kirk they didn't appreciate what he said and he backpedalled. Not saying it's right, but who cares really?

Who actually take their job seriously.. and you don't care now, but if uf lost out last year to michigan which almost happen you wouldn't like the bias either.. if you don't care who cares then why even visit and comment. clemumo82
What did Kirk say recently that makes what he said there so hypocritical? I've been very busy with work a lot recently, and haven't been keeping up with whats been said on ESPN.
