falcon_91
i wont pretend to be a big expert but imma take a shot anyway - just 3 roundskey fa addition - albert haynesworth dt trade jenkins for a 2nd day pick, not sure what kind of value we could get thoughassuming we have a top 5 pick1st - jake long ot michigan- however i put him in at rtatl 2nd - sam baker ot usc - injuryed again and if some juniors declare he could be pushed down into the early 2nd imo.hou 2nd - erik ainge tennesse - qb - i've seen some people saying he perfroms so well because of his line, yes it is goood but he saves himself getting hit alot by smart decisions, and knowing when to throw the ball away.3rd - pounding rb - not sure who would be available, if we didnt have mughelli then i would say owen schmitt3rd(kerney) - davone bass wr hawaii(if he declares) - after trading jenkins we have a spot at wr, catches almost everything, and a good yac man.feel free to criticise - any advice is always welcomed

falcon_91
i like the ainge addition; however, i think if we were to pick long up just to move him to rt we would be so dumb....yeh probably, but i could forsee him as being an absoulte beast at rt, as it would in part eliminate his worse point for me, which is speed rushers, as they obviously tend to be at re. so with that negative diminished he would be mony for the next 10-15 years
jidady
i'm confident he would/will be a star at rt. the point being made is that it's unusual for teams to spend that much cap space on a rt when the organization would also need to pay at least that much for a lt. the two tackle spots would be eating up about 8% of the team's cap. a better scenario would be to find a way to get two tackles outside of the top 8 or so in the draft, as the combined salaries would still be less than what a single top 5 pick rt would cost. this is why it's rare to see an nfl rt drafted in the top 10. i like the bengals were the last team to do this intentionally back in 2002 with levi jones. shawn andrews at #16 in 04 is the highest one has been picked since. some others like jordan gross have played rt more than lt to date, but that wasn't the spot they were drafted to play. all of this assumes long is determined to be a rt instead of a lt, of course. i expect opinions to be varied about that. falcon_91
i wouldnt exactly say jenkins is stepping it up,he hasnt even reached 40 catches or 400 yards yet this year! the only positive thing from him so far is the unusually high percent of catches : 1st down ratio (one every 1.68 catches)
