round 1:brian brohm qb louisville:i know some of you dont like this pick....but face it...unless we are picking in the top 3...where we can get jake long or mcfadden....brohm is our pick...we need a franchise qb and i cant lie....brian brohm is one...but idk....i think he may slip like brady quinn did.....but we shall see

round 2:gosder cherilus ot boston college:he will slip like marcus mcneal...he have look subpar in alot of games...and even rivals.com have him as the 11 best lineman in college football

round 2:mike jenkins cb south florida:dude is just a baller..and playmaker....he is a hitter and a cover corner...he is also 6'0 so he could check the taller corners and he is a kickoff returner....lewis sanders is not doing it...and if

round 3:red bryant dt texas a&m:he hasnt had the steller year everyone thought he would have....but this guy is a monster...at 6'5 335 he can be that big dt plog the middle and share time with trey lewis...he reminds me of albert haynesworth when he came out of college

round 4:barry richardson ot clemson: a big tackle(6'7 340lb) that has slip some....he has all the talent to be good in the pros.....he just may need a year to sit and watch

round 4 (comp for pk):tavares gooden ilb miami:this guy is getting lost in the linebacker shuffle with so many jr's coming out but this guy like michael boley and stephen nicholas will be a steal for us in the 4th round.....he is 6'2 240lbs and runs a 4.49-4.5 40

round 5:marcus griffin fs/ss texas:he is not a huge playmaker like his brother...but he will be a real good backup fs....

round 6:king dunlap ot/og auburn: he is a little to heavy legged to be a ot...but i think he can be a ok og.......he is 6'9 320lbs

round 6(rossum trade):brandon coutu k georgia or art carmody k louisville: we need a kicker that we can have for 8 to 10 years....either is our guy

round 7:patrick carter wr/kr louisville: 6'3 200lbs......and dude is a burner...he runs a 4.35-4.40 40....he has shined a little bit since louisville has given him a chance to play...he is a deep threat plus a good kr.....jennings is not cutting it

free agents

bryant johnson and drew carter wr:dude is a really good wr...but he backs up fitz and bolden....he is 6'3 216 and is a super burner and we should be able to get him for a good cheap price...and drew carter 6'3 200lbs has showed signs he has what it takes...i think he will shine with or system...tell jenkins bye bye.......with roddy white, laurent robinson, bryant johnson and drew carter, and rookie patrick carter...we round have a good young wr group

chris brown rb: 6'3 220lbs....he is the big back we really need.....with lendale white doing his thing and henry helping...they no longer need brown.....he is perfect for coach p system

or

justin fargas rb(aka huggy bear son): 6'1 220lbs...he also is a big back that can run....he also fits the system

i like the picks, but i think we're going o-line with our first pick. i like brohm, but his stock has fallen this season. some will say we need a guy like dixon from oregon who has great speed and a good arm. honestly, i would like us to draft a franchise player like dixon or even woodson (uk), but the draft is a long way off, my friend.

why do you think brohm's stock has fallen?

i like a few picks. i dont think we need a cb that early. we still need to give chou a shot. we need to build up the ol. so i say trade some of the picks for some immediate vet help. i dont see much use for drew carter unless he is going to return kicks. we def. need a kicker in the draft. jenkins neeeds to go for a draft pick. maybe 2-3 rounder????? dont know if we can get that high. chris brown would be nice but i highly doubt we need a #1 esq. rb to backup norwood. fargas will go for a ton of money no need for him. you shouldve mentioned us trading alge for chad johnson.

i guess because i am basing his stock on their sub-par season -- that's all.

so what is it about brohm that makes him a franchise qb that leaf, harrington, akili smith, heath shuler, the guy cleveland drafted, and other so called "franchise qb's" in college did not have? point is no one knows if these kids are franchise qb's. and to pay millions before they ever toss a pass in the nfl is crazy, almost as crazy as putting them in with no o-line.

let's build the line first, drafts and fa's, let them gel as a unit, then draft the qb.

hey, i am not endorsing drafting brohm first. i am all for building a solid o-line through draft and fa!! i would love to see us use our first 2 picks on o-linemen!!

i think we should trade d hall to cleveland for derek anderson. draft long, dorsey, or dmc and if they arent there trade down and get sam baker and another 2nd or third round pick. then take dejuan tribble with 1st second round pick and fill in the rest of the gaps from there.

that would be so stupid. what is it with everybody and trading d-hall? and wth trading hall for anderson straight up? that is probably one of the worst trades i've seen mentioned on this board. we need to keep hall because we are rebuilding and getting rid of one of the most talented players at his position would only add to another priority in an already long list of holes to fill.

just a fyi, any player you take in the top 5 (where we will pick) is going to cost mega millions. the pay is slotted by where you are taken.

get a qb now and let him learn while you build the team. traditionally you sit the qb a season or so, so why not let him learn while the team is being assembled, so the team can come together all at once, instead of having a team together then having to draft a qb and wait. not to mention when good qbs are taken in the first, they usually go in the top 10. brady quinn slips dont happen too often with elite qbs.

as for the origianl mock post...i like it. i dont know about cherilus, but he could excell in the nfl. i like all the players you took pretty much. i am not big on bryant though. sub in tony hills for gosder and you have a winner imo.

if they did that....the bengals would be the most stupid team in the history of football......chad johnson for alge.......that almost as bad as the moss for a 4th round pick.....you can find a good te...but chad johnson is a once in a lifetime wr...like moss and t.o.....falcons would get a major steal

what offensive tackle would be worth such a high pick in the first round? the only name that comes to mind is jake long, but even he is questionable to be a left tackle in the nfl.

then comes michael oher and loadholt who's potential in the nfl is even bigger than the sky, but they won't be worth a top 5-10 pick.
