last season, in between brennan declaring for the draft and brennan pulling out of the draft, he was generally ranked in the mid-first round. this year, he's being ranked generally in the early-mid 2nd round. just to give you guys an idea, at least, of how much deeper this year's draft class is, especially at qb.

colt brennan was not a 1st round qb last year. he's still sitting in the same range he was at last year, which is the 2nd-3rd round. the only way he gets any higher than that is if he takes hawaii to a major bowl or a bcs bowl and looks convincing against a tougher opponent than he will have faced over his career there.

this says absolutely nothing about the depth of this qb class. brennan has the system qb tag on him by scouts and lacks the preferred height that woodson, brohm, and ryan have.

plus woodson, brohm, and ryan are about as pure of pocket passer prospects as we've seen in recent years... so of course they will be projected higher than a system qb who slings the rock sidearmed.
