matt schaub had a great game yesterday

schaub has single-handedly lost more of his team's games than he has won, he's been prone to turn the ball over at the worst possible time and he can't move an offense without andre johnson on the field. he had one big game, big deal, he was still a waste of space as a falcon.

i agree. he has played just as many bad as good games. when he has a bad game, no one talks about him, but when he has a good game people talk about how we shouldn't have traded him. he would be dead if he was still on this team.

i don't think anyone is going to deny that andre johnson is an elite receiver capable of changing any game at any moment. its schaub's skills that i doubt.

schaub completed over 70% of his passes in hou's week 1 win vs kc, their week 2 win @car, and their week 3 loss vs ind.

schaub completed 63.63% of his passes yesterday in hou's win over no (johnson's 3rd start of the 07 season)

a lot of schaub's struggles this season are related to him having to deal with injuries at key offensive positions. ahman green, ron dayne, jacoby jones have missed time this season in addition to andre johnson (best offensive player hou has) being injured and not playing at all for hou during week 3 through week 10 of the 2007 nfl season.

andre johnson played vs kc and @car, but he did not play in the ind@hou game week 3.

schaub is good - it is ironic that schaub is good though because rich mckay originally drafted schaub out of virginia in the 3rd round of the 2004 nfl draft - and rich mckay is an idiot and a poor evaluator of nfl talent.

carr completed two thirds of his passes while he was there; who cares? it's the same checkdown offense all the time unless andre is in there. the only member of the texan's offense that is "good" is johnson, the rest are either too young, too old, or just suck, schaub could be either the former or latter depending on how you look at him, but he's not much better than carr would have been if carr didn't spend his time in houston getting mauled.

the texans are curently 5-5 and they play in the afc south that has 3 other winning teams right now ind 8-2, jax 7-3, ten 6-3.

considering the tough schedule that hou has this season with 6 games total against ind, jax, and ten and the fact that andre johnson was injured and didn't play at all for 7 weeks, the texans have played well to be 5-5 at this point in the season.

david carr has been a bust since hou wasted the #1 overall pick drafting him.

david carr now plays on a team with steve smith and carr can't even complete passes to smith for any significant yardage (during the limited playing time that carr had in between injuries/testaverde starting) because carr has no clue how to play qb at the nfl level.

matt moore give car a better chance to win than david carr does (even though testaverde is their starter most of the time now)
