the harrington lovefest

Recommended Posts

joey has been cut three times by three different teams.

by the way, that bolded part is a little dramatic, don't you think. the single worst performance by an athlete in any sport? laugh.giflaugh.gif

i thought about it before i wrote it. reflect on the quarter leftwich played, if you dare. a complete

blooper show could be done from it.

hey, buddy. don't get mad at me. be mad at your coaching staff and oline. not even noey would have won that game for your bruised heart. and i'm sorry, when i see the opposing team just standing around, cracking jokes, and dancing on your team logo center field, then yeah. not only have they pretty much ended the game on their end, but they also disrespcted you before they gracefully bowed out. like i said before, where was noey the great during the no game. at least you can say in that game with byron in the lead was in our favor. somehow, when noey the great got in it slipped away. check your emotions at the door. no need to get tempermental over this season. it was doomed from start. is noey the best qb we have? i can't answer that now. i won't chokehold byron after just one full game of playing. i still think he has a lot he can offer to this team. a win against san fran and the kittens doesn't put harrington on a pedistool like some of you are trying to do. it just shows just how sorry he really is.

i'll ask again:

can you explain what improvements byron leftwich will make over joey harrington for our offense? (hint: "joey sucks" is not an improvement that byron will bring.)

listen to me! i am not putting harrington on a pedestal! what i am saying is that while he was qb, we won two games in a row, yet he was benched. i would like to think that he was benched in order to allow byron leftwich to start, which in turn was supposed to improve our offense in some tangible way. i did not see an improvement in any facet of our offense on sunday. i don't even know what byron was supposed to improve.

so, help me out here and tell me just how byron was supposed to improve our offense. some possible reasons are:

increased completions. was this the reason? how did this work out? was it better or worse? if better, why? if worse, why?

increased total yardage. was this the reason that byron was brought in? did he get more yards? if not, why not?

more touchdowns? byron must be able to put more points on the board. how did this work out on sunday? why was byron an improvement in this category?

gets rid of the ball quicker. this has to be it. does byron get rid of the ball quicker?

please give some concrete answers.

why all the love for a guy who completes a lot of short passes, has a high completion percentage, yet has only 6 touchdown passes? i forgot about the 5 interceptions!!!

so we should love mr. statue of liberty leftwich ?

neither are capable of winning as nfl qbs. i don't think it is love for harrington, but sheer desperation at our choices, or lack thereof.

joey scored late with the bucs' backups on the field and has not looked good at a consistent level at all this season. problem is, byron is worse. neither qb will make an impact in the future for our team. this debate is pointless, fact is joey is a slightly better bet but either way we're screwed.

at least joey isn't losing the game for us. i guess you turned off your tv too early yesterday. joey led us down field with an impressive, methodical drive and scored our only td with a nice 10+yard pass to jennings. he got it done in the time that he had. had he started, the game would have been a lot closer and we may have won, their defense wasn't that impressive.

joey harrington is a joke, plain and simple. when he is out of atlanta, he probably will be out of the league, good freakin' riddins! hey blank, all we need is an owner that won't pass up future hall of famers (t.o. and randy moss), an offensive line, dependable receivers, and a qb, then we are on our way baby!!!!

until we get an offensive line that can protect the qb, it doesn't matter who's in there.

they'll get killed and look horrible.

really? what three teams would that be? i know that marinelli and martz wanted him to stay in detroit, but he asked permission to seek a trade and ultimately was traded to miami. i know he was a cap casualty in miami and, after turning down carolina, signed a contract here.
