atlforlife
i'm starting to think the o-line might not be quite as bad as we thought. the o-line does need to be rebuilt, but harrington makes them look worse than they are. our o-line lacks power in the run game, but our short passing game makes it even harder on them. our recievers are better, but they will never reach their potential without a qb that can get them the ball downfield. we need a good qb if we want a potent offense. the qb does need a good supporting cast, but a qb can also restrict a team. scott24falcs
vick helped mask the fact that we had, and still have a terrible ol. now it is really showing. but i have faith it will be improved.
atlforlife
no the o-line is pathetic. it was when vick was here and it still is.the o-line isn't great, but some of our young guys look solid. and be honest, vick wasn't the best at getting the ball out of his hands. sporkdevil
no the o-line is pathetic. it was when vick was here and it still is.joey could stand behind a brick wall, and will still hold this offense back. the line is a problem, and so is the qb. with **** we had a much more potent offense, and there is very little difference this year. bloodhoundz864
i could not agree more but you are comping to an apple to an orange here.joey has no fancy footwork. vick made things happen then the ###### fumbles yeah joey's best footwork seems to come before the snap when he's moving around like peyton manning, but when the ball is snap he looks like a turtle. atlforlife
with a solid qb, we would have stomped the panthers. the d was great, and warrick fought hard. joey's stats look good, and he didn't loose the game, but he is a huge problem with the offense. atlforlife
i agree joey is a problem too but he gets way too much blame on this board.even when joey has worlds of time, he does not throw downfield. maybe no one is open, but if that is the case then the recievers can only get open 5% of the time. bridson
joey frustrates me and those things like 60 yds of offense in a half and no tds suck, but the one thing i will give the guy is he never seems to turn it over this year and thats something nobody mentions. he only has 5 int's this year and 1 was on that "hail mary", and two went off of jenkins. that means he has protected the ball well this year. peyton in one game yesterday had 6 int's which is more than harrington has had all year. i think its pretty amazing harrington has yet to fumble and has only thrown 5 int's in 8 games of action...however only 5 td's in that time period isn't good either. Bermuda Falcon
i would agree, most defenses must know by now that joey cannot strecth the field.
atlforlife
i would agree, most defenses must know by now that joey cannot strecth the field.and because of this, we will never have a strong run game with joey at qb.
