"i wouldn't say it's a setback," fox said after practice. "it's a little sore and we elected to rest him." an undrafted college free agent, moore, 23, was claimed on waivers in early september from the dallas cowboys. the former oregon state standout has appeared briefly in three games and has completed 3-of-7 passes for 79 yards, with one interception. jake delhomme, who opened the season as the starter, is out for the season after undergoing tommy john surgery to repair ligament damage to his throwing (right) elbow. his primary backup, david carr, started three games, including last week's loss at tennessee. but carr suffered a concussion in that game, and while he has urged fox to allow him to return to practice this week, the panthers are taking a cautionary approach, and he has already been ruled out for the game against the falcons. if moore started and testaverde could not serve as the backup, the panthers might be forced to elevate former ucla quarterback drew olson from the practice squad. olson was signed this week and has worked only a few days in the carolina offense. len pasquarelli is a senior nfl writer for espn.com. falconfoozball
man, can you guys just for a minute stop reminding me about "that" panthers game? it is my worst memory as a falcons fan, but it is in the past, i hope. check my sig - "write failures in dust, accomplishments in stone!" we just about won the last game w/the panthers, and hopefully this time we'll come out strong again, get some pressure on their qb, stop that freakin' run and come out w/a win!! go falcons!! (oh yeah, and we have zimmer as our d coach instead of donatell this time. that's got to be a plus!)

BankerBird™
is it just me, or is this the kind of feel good story the falcons have repeatedly made come true?undrafted college qb puts up 400 yards, 3 tds vs. atlanta you beat me to it as funny as it sounds for a 2-6 team, this game has 'trap' written all over it. NewFalcon
forget last year and forget last time we played the panties.here's my hope for sunday:testicle-verde gets sacked/sandwiched by anderson and abraham in the first quarter and folds like a cheap umbrella. moore replaces vinnie, and then wets himself while running for his life. moore fumbles... twice. we recover both fumbles. he also throws two int's, one of them a pick-6 by boley.our d stuffs the run (no soup for you foster...) and d hall keeps quiet while shutting down smith.norwood gets 20 carries and runs for 120, including 2 td's.joey actually completes 4 passes over 20 yards (each) ...and he throws them all to our players. jenkins doesn't drop a pass all day.roddy catchs a td pass while algie and joe horn keep 4 drives alive with clutch 3rd down catches across the middle. falcons 31 panties 17a guy can dream, can't he???
