phattywankenobi
obviously if your from atlanta its just rooting for your home team. being from chicago and a fan of all chicago sports, people ask me all the time on what made me decide to be a falcons fan. seems wierd on how i became a falcon fan, but here is how it happened.all of my family are hardcore bears fans. i couldn't stand my family always talkin about bears this and bears that. i got tired of it. so i got a picture of all the nfl team logo's at that current time (1992). i closed my eyes and placed my finger on the picture and started moving it around. i said to myself while i was moving my finger "which ever team logo my finger lands on that will be my team for the rest of my life." sure enough my finger first pointed to the bears .....ironically...hahso i did it again and voila..............old school falcons logo. seems like a wierd way to chose a favorite team. the only outcome of this is that i should be a bears fan...according to my family.....but me and my family have one thing in common........we both cheer for losing teams.you poor sole you actually had a choice. i grew up in atlanta and started playing football in 1974 so naturally i got into watching the falcons. ironically though the team i played on in pee wee football were the blackwell bears and so i also pulled for the chicago bears. you have to understand, i am a hardcore falcons fan, not a fence rider, but found it pretty cool to see the bears in the superbowl again, grossman or not. ravend
nice topic i was born in riverdale and always lived in metro atl area, i used to love the braves but as i grew older baseball bored me more and more.. i started falling asleep at the braves games . being a girl i was never into football at all until i was in the marching band in high school and everyone came to the games to watch tashard choice (now on ga tech) and i started to watch him too as he was my friend. the more i learned about football the more i loved, it's just such a fun sport to watch. by the time i got into football we also just drafted vick and i started to watch the falcons since they're not only my home team but also now had mr exciting anyway, i fell in love with the falcons and been watching ever since. i've learned to love almost all the guys on the team (even hall when he keeps his mouth shut). this is my 1st year as a season ticket holder, i can't say it's been real great with our lack of qb but i still have tons of fun at the games. go falcons

phattywankenobi
it was 1968, i was in 3rd grade, some of the guys at school would wear nfl jackets or sweatshirts and even tobaggins.i remember johnny jenkins in his oakland raider jacket and jeff cannon`s redskin shirt. we would play pick-up games at recess.i decided that i had to choose me a pro team to like.it may have been about this time of year that i came home from school and grabbed the jc penny x-mas catalog and headed for the bathroom,jc penny sold these neat replica pro football uniforms for kids.not knowing anything about pro football at the time i chose the first team as they were listed in alphabetical order so naturally that meant that atlanta was first and had to the best(little did i know) and the red helmets were cool.so i begged and pleaded enough to my mama and some how another she got the money from the old man to get it at x-mas!i actually wore this replica falcons uniform at little league try outs and made the team! it got misplacedover the years and i wish i still had it yeah i remember that a few years later me and my brother had our bubba bean replica uniforms on running around in the yard. i'd love to figure out what happen to that old photo. Ak Falcon
one word...vick. alaskans don't really have a single team. lots of raiders and seahawks, and the pitiful vikings. i happened to be watching the falcs vs. queens in 02' where vick ran for a td in ot. well my best friend follows the vikings like white on rice. quite simply i was amazed and have followed ever since.
