oldgreyfalcon
it was 1968, i was in 3rd grade, some of the guys at school would wear nfl jackets or sweatshirts and even tobaggins.i remember johnny jenkins in his oakland raider jacket and jeff cannon`s redskin shirt. we would play pick-up games at recess.i decided that i had to choose me a pro team to like.it may have been about this time of year that i came home from school and grabbed the jc penny x-mas catalog and headed for the bathroom,jc penny sold these neat replica pro football uniforms for kids.not knowing anything about pro football at the time i chose the first team as they were listed in alphabetical order so naturally that meant that atlanta was first and had to the best(little did i know) and the red helmets were cool.so i begged and pleaded enough to my mama and some how another she got the money from the old man to get it at x-mas!i actually wore this replica falcons uniform at little league try outs and made the team! it got misplacedover the years and i wish i still had it

delaigle
well i was born in south florida moved to south ga.in 1982 i was 11 years old.lived there for only one year and moved back to florida.but been a falcon's fan every sense.and i just recently moved to n0rth ga.i won't ask specifics but what part of n ga west, middle or east. i'm a native georgian and just retired to n ga (eastern part) 3 years ago. i really enjoy the easy slow life style up here and no traffic congestion. about 40 years ago i did live in the western part and i really liked it also. where we live we now, we are not in the mountains but with a 15 minute drive we can be deep in the mountains. anyway i lived in ky. when the falcons first started and i was glad to see a pro football team in ga so i started following them even thought it was hard to get decent reports in ky. i have followed them since before their first game, but i'm not geeky over it, i watch the games are read what i can find but i do not keep mundane details on each player etc.
40 year itch
born and raised here. saw my dad all through the bartkowski years nearly put his foot through the tv every sunday. lays potato chips and clam dip flying all over the place. couldnt figure out why he kept watching every sunday then figured it must be "manly" to be eternally tormented and agitated over a football team. so, i picked up the habit. we all turn out like our parents in the end. juraitwaluzka
i was born, then 6 months later the falcons played their 1st game (which i apparently watched), so i've literally been a fan from the beginning. i can remember as a kid the going to the 17-10 victory over the cowboys and staubach etc... i remember seeing tom dempsey kick, wow it's been a long time lol. jatchisv2
i was born in connecticut, raised in upstate new york, and my family moved to baton rouge when i was 15 in the summer of 1975.i became a saints fan, and learned to hate the falcons, that fall.kind of ironic that the job brought me to the atl, eh? falcon_loco
prime time baby. i never really watched much football back then i was like 9 or 10 but that was when dion was huge and i was a huge dion fan. never saw many of the games since i didnt have internet or anything and my family is all vikings and packers fans, thats the norm in south dakota. ive always tried following the falcons since i was a kid and i really started getting into football when they went to the super bowl in 98, that was my first year playing organized football so my interest was sparked and ive followed them very passionately ever since. and man am i ever glad i discovered these boards, never had anyone to talk falcons with b4 so its great. i really want to go to the message board game next year and meet some of you so ive started saving for tickets.
