chosun
and norwood gives some punishment sometimes too.he lowers his shoulder when some tries to bring him down.when someone comes near dunn he's looking to fall down so he can't take a hit.he's trying to protect himself more than get yards.he plays like a girl.well yeah.. from that standpoint norwood compared to dunn as far as contact and trying to break tackles is night and day.. i wouldn't say dunn plays like a girl, he plays smart and plays like a 32 year old should.. i see what darth is saying, but let's give norwood like 20 carries next game and let's just see what happens.. how much worse can it get? Falcon first down
take away norwood's big runs and he is nothing. he isn't an in between the tackles runner. he won't score goal line td's. he needs to go.bobby p needs to tweek his system to better fit the strenths of his players. for instance useing norwood on more screen plays and throw him the ball on some short quick pass plays. also he should use his te's more. crump is still one of the best recievers on this team, but bp's offensive genious can't seem to fit crump into his scheme. don't get me wrong, i think petrino is going to be a winner. if he can learn to lighten up just a little that is. he isn't going to do anything if nobody wants to play for him. i don't mean for bobby to become mora boddy buddy i'm your friend. i just think he will be good if he can learn to be more president and not so much dictator(sp). face it people. the can't talk on the plane rule "if true" is just plan dumb. but back on subject norwood is not a every down back, but if teamed up with a bruiser north south rb, norwood would excell as a change of pace back. the falcons ace
i think instead of just sitting around and saying we need an offensive line because ours sucks we need to use our play makers to open up room for the offensive line. such as using norwood like reggie bush was for the saints. such as having him run reverses by playing as a slot receiver. if they are to busy making sure he doesn't out run the team it will keep teams from simply bull rushing us every down. Bermuda Falcon
any atlanta coach who can't see the production we get with norwood on the field should quit!
xrage
take away norwood's big runs and he is nothing. he isn't an in between the tackles runner. he won't score goal line td's. he needs to go.the fact that you would say something that drastic obviously shows that you have some kind of agenda. norwood and roddy white have been the only bright spots on this offense up to this point. granted he may not be much of an in between the tackles runner, but no way does that mean that we should just cut or trade him. you seriously want to get rid of our best playmaker on offense? are we trying to go forward or backwards here? if petrino would get a little more creative in his ways of using him, i.e. lining him up in the slot and/or putting him on the field with dunn at the same time, we'd probably see him make even more plays. and you never know, he just may be worthy of getting the ball 20 times a game, but unfortunately we don't give him that opportunity. just because he is small doesn't automatically mean that he can't handle the load. we really need to see what his potential is so we can have an even better idea of what we need at the rb position next year.
