Carter
****....even the coaches and front office gave up on the season.where do we go from here..... welcome back to the early 90's falcons.i don't think they have given up... we see this as a bad move now, but it may enable us to bring in someone we need more such as on the o-line.grady wasn't playing a whole lot this year anyways... but he did ok when he did work up the energy to get onto the field. there was also a less publicized side story in the ajc about the falcons cafeteria running out of chocolate pudding..... coincidence? i think nawwwtttt! bloodhoundz864
i agree, although i could see brooking losing some time to taylor after he tackled sanders this past week and let bush walk in for the score.you have to think though, we can't afford to cut too many bodies. it's not like there are a plethora of superstar and future probowlers sitting out there to be snapped up by all the loser teams. heh heh heh i used plethora in a sentence. i've always wanted to do that. celtiki think most of our remaining moves will be made in the offseason. i don't expect to see anymore big name releases in the regular season, but then again i didn't expect this to happen. i agree with you think we don't have enough bodies to cut more players. arbogast
why does anyone care that a defensive tackle that's been pushed around like a girl in the 4th quarter for 2 years was cut?
scarface1856
i don't understand this move, even if it gets younger guys minutes. if they cut a milloy, dunn, etc it will show that we gave up and that any player can talk themselves out of being here...i am surprised joe horn isn't gone (as much i love him). we barely even acknowledge he exists and there are young guys behind him.please cut jennings though. nativefalcon
i just heard the news about grady, does the coaches want us to lose?? i heard the asst gm on 680 say, that since coleman is back playing good. he hasn't been playing good imo. thats grady was odd man out, because babs and trey lewis are playing good. they should have cuts babs. mark my words in 1 week your going to hear that grady signed with the colts. they lost booger mcfarland. he can at least go to a team thats winning. this is the stupidest decision they have made. its almost like they want to lose. like please run on us we cant stop it. falcoatlantae
could it possibly be that 1) grady wasn't protecting brooking from the opposing c/g and 2) better pass rush with lewis?
audit2
why does anyone care that a defensive tackle that's been pushed around like a girl in the 4th quarter for 2 years was cut?because he played better than the guys that were getting pushed around in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd. paul_k
who does grady sign with? the smart money is on pats or packers.they don't need a dt. i say denver or miami. or maybe back to oakland, where we got him from. knapp's there and can give grady a good recommendation. Sniper Wolf
i posted this downstairs, but i'll repeat it here. keep in mind, grady spent a few seasons in no, so i got a close look at not only his play but his attitude.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ here's what i'm thinking and i warn you this is all conjecture based on what i've seen out of old tubby:grady jackson is a good player as long as he's happy. you've seen a taste of what he's like unhappy this offseason with his contract. what i've seen out of him is that when he's unhappy he becomes a problem. his production goes down and he becomes one of those 'locker room cancers,' you hear about, the type of guy that's always complaining and dragging down everyone elses moral. grady, also, is the type of guy that his moral is based not so much off of his paycheck, but wins. as long as you're winning, he's fine, but if you start losing, he becomes a problem.so don't get too upset about this one. i know he can give great production when he's motivated to do so, i've seen it here when he was in no. however, i also saw the side of grady that decided he didn't give a crap anymore. remember jonathan sullivan, a dt the saints drafted a few years back? the original thought was that grady could mentor the kid and help instill the work ethic needed for an nfl player. grady didn't give much of a **** about that and i think the poor example grady set in our locker room helped the kid bust in the nfl.again, all this is conjecture purely based on grady's history. i'm not saying i'm 100% on this, but i do think it's a likely possibility. cblack
so we let grady walk..........you say he wore down in the fourth but he was supposed to be a situational run stopper anywayz, but we overplayed him alittle...anyone remember the big run stopper from greenbay during their championship run? now our probowl lb doesn't have the beef he said he needed to be a playmaker anymore, the one he said he liked to see in front of him........now he has to fend for himself wtf who's idea was this, what brought this on, why couldn't this have waited till the season was over? i'am speechless

movezig
man this is depressing. he was one of my favorite players on defense. even from my endzone seats i could always find grady when he was out there on the field. i wish him good luck, he was a good player.
