is it now safe to see that we all should miss....

you must have forgot the last full season he was here.

you mean the year we were 7th in red zone tds? yeah and we've been 32nd ever since he left. another mckay gem. trade a td machine for a disgruntled wr bust.

duckett had 15-20 tds mostly in the red zone in a short period of time and in a part time role. all experts say you can't be a good red zone scoring team if you can't run the ball in the red zone. we can't run the ball in any zone.

duckett would have been the perfect complimentary power back to norwood. and he'd be cheap. another horrible move by mckay.

the problem with duckett wasn't in the red zone, it was in the rest of the field.

if he could have been a viable option for and thunder and lightening kind of duo, he would probably still be here.

i'm trying to remember how he did in the red zone his last year here, but i'm pretty sure he didn't do a lot otherwise.

i may be wrong, but i don't think he did.

but i would have loved having him as a red zone specialist (like we are supposed to use pinner or ovie?)

does anyone actually rember tippy toes' performance when he was here? he got the name for a reason. i liked the guy the first year or two he was here and then after he got hurt he seemed a bit timid and just stutter stepped at the line until they brought him down. he no longer was the battering ram i had hoped for. we have needed a power back since he left but definitely not tj.

i was excited when tj first came to this team and more so when i saw him, but for all his potential he never turned out to be what the falcons had envisioned.

but talking about tj can someone tell me what exactly is (6-1, 255 ib) ovie mughelli role supposed to be on the falcons. why can't this guy get those short yards in the redzone? are the falcons paying him for just blocking?

this is why we cut tj duckett:

on his last 39 carries he gained 43 yards for an average of 1.1 ypc. he did score 2 goal line tds though. but he also failed to convert several 3rd & short and 4th & 1.

thank you.

i'm glad some people around here remember how he finished when he was here.

when it came to short yardage the offensive line would get pushed back into him and he could never run "downhill."

if tj had momentum he wass a beast to stop. however if his own linemen are running into him after the ball is snapped there's not much he can do.
