falconsstomp
tj duckett???he was our leading scorer in the redzone, and the way he played against the bucs sunday, (ran over a couple of buc defenders), he showed why they call him the diesel.. mr_big_pants
tj isn't that good if the line doesn't open a hole for him.you must have forgot the last full season he was here.
hammafan
yes, because he's been so good for the redskins and lions.
aka_cig_bc
tj isn't that good if the line doesn't open a hole for him.you must have forgot the last full season he was here.yeh he had that 6 game stretch where he was nearly as bad as warrick dunn usually is. birdfan
you must have forgot the last full season he was here.you mean the year we were 7th in red zone tds? yeah and we've been 32nd ever since he left. another mckay gem. trade a td machine for a disgruntled wr bust. duckett had 15-20 tds mostly in the red zone in a short period of time and in a part time role. all experts say you can't be a good red zone scoring team if you can't run the ball in the red zone. we can't run the ball in any zone. falconsstomp
tj isn't that good if the line doesn't open a hole for him.you must have forgot the last full season he was here.so judging by that, that means dunn is gone after this season is over with right??i would kill to have a thunder and lighting combo in the backfield like a norwood and duckett. rounz
the problem with duckett wasn't in the red zone, it was in the rest of the field.if he could have been a viable option for and thunder and lightening kind of duo, he would probably still be here.i'm trying to remember how he did in the red zone his last year here, but i'm pretty sure he didn't do a lot otherwise.i may be wrong, but i don't think he did.but i would have loved having him as a red zone specialist (like we are supposed to use pinner or ovie?) me4falcons
the thing i liked about duckett was he did not always run good from the 20 to 20 yard line but, in the red zone he some how turn it own.
phattywankenobi
does anyone actually rember tippy toes' performance when he was here? he got the name for a reason. i liked the guy the first year or two he was here and then after he got hurt he seemed a bit timid and just stutter stepped at the line until they brought him down. he no longer was the battering ram i had hoped for. we have needed a power back since he left but definitely not tj. living404
i don't know if duckett was the right choice to bring back in, but i hate having two 3rd down running backs.
mgb4real
i was excited when tj first came to this team and more so when i saw him, but for all his potential he never turned out to be what the falcons had envisioned. but talking about tj can someone tell me what exactly is (6-1, 255 ib) ovie mughelli role supposed to be on the falcons. why can't this guy get those short yards in the redzone? are the falcons paying him for just blocking? movezig
this is why we cut tj duckett:on his last 39 carries he gained 43 yards for an average of 1.1 ypc. he did score 2 goal line tds though. but he also failed to convert several 3rd & short and 4th & 1. thesouphead
i honestly dont know what they were thinking with the pinner deal.you must have forgotten that just a couple weeks ago or so, pinner had a season high of 2 carriers for 0 yards. the guy is going to the hall of fame now.
