atlfalcsfan55
instant success? haha are you guys joking?fan: uh yea we lost our franchise qb and backup but we should be fine you know we should be able to win with harrington, duh i want a return on my investment, common.fan: uh yea that andersen kid, you know the one that looks like luda. he has got 0 sacks, he is a bust you know, god mckay needs to be fired.seriously this is the dumbest thing ever. 5 games we have lost by 6 points or less and have been in it for the last 3 min of the game. we dont know how to finish and the improvements i see is awesome. seriously stop being so ###### dumb, wake up and man up that your team sucks this year but the positives brought in by petrino are awesome. just watch you idiots are going to be back on the bandwagon. seriously why dont you just go cheer for that untouchable 6 td throwing elite?? djnowhere
i've got to agree with you. i've been a fan of this team for all of my life. i'm tired of everyone jumping all over this team. everyone always wants instant success. well guess what, things don't work that way. we have to get the right players in place, not to mention have a chance to use our extra salary cap money in a free agency period. even with vick here, we wouldn't have won more than 7 maybe 8 games because of the transition time it takes btn schemes. i wasn't expecting much for this year before vick got busted. it's called sacrifice. you sacrifice the present for the future. if you don't have the patience for that then go ahead and go. the next time we're successful, most likely '09, i'll be sure and push your ###### off the bandwagon. soundking
my concern is that there might not be that great of a future to look forward to. jamal anderson literally looks lost on **** near every down. i know he's a rook but even slight progress with as many reps as he gets would suggest that he won't be a bust for us. i think petrino has the potential to do great things but he has made some idiotic decisions that a coach of his caliber should not make. and rich mckay's guffaws go back a hot minute (i.e. giving ed hartwell all that bread). if we are rebuilding cool but let's at least get the right bricks. djnowhere
if these excuses are making you feel better about the situation ..... by all means please continue.hey rev, i'd rather talk about this than read more of the same about how dunn is done. brooking is done. how bad harrington is. how bad leftwich is. how it's the o-line's fault, and how patrino is a flop and a bust and how mckay should be fired. so if you don't like the conversation, than move on. bloodhoundz864
a lot of us are angry because for the last few years we've been screaming for better offensive linemen and a kicker with distance and accuracy.so far the front office haven't addressed neither one of those issues. so yes atlanta falcon fans have the right to be angry. this is what happens when the front office thinks one guy can do it by himself, when he leaves because of legal issues or injury everything is exposed. **** 2003 should of been a ######ing clue. dninc
i think any loyal fan, or season ticket buyers should have the right to vent about their disgust in any form they want, mr blank wont make any changes as long as ticket sales and merchandise sales are still marketable, if you allow the "same o" and just bow down and accept what you have and hope for a turnaround next year, you'll never get anything but one superstar every few years to satisfy fans long enough to fill blanks pocket again, they never have to win a super bowl because blank's having his own special superbowl parties every time ticket sales, concession sales, and merchandise sales sky rocket with a bad product.we learned this crap with benson years ago, he managed to finally screw our state up and get a gov to write him a check every year until the team starts to make better profits or we build him a new stadium, that situation has sorta sorted it's self out and it looks like the new gov. that was voted into louisiana might fix some of that mess up, benson didn't get his payments anymore from the state but benson answered by finally opening his pocket book and not only getting 1 superstar, he had multiple stars shipped to louisiana and sealed the already made stars on the team a deal to stay, saints have something to build off of as a young team for a very long time, we started off slow but things are looking up now, it appears we weren't ready for a first place scheduling from the league just yet, it was a wake up call for the coach to next time keep our talented players on the team and not ship them off to other teams for younger talent that isn't ready for teams to show off on them on multiple prime time games. falcons223
i find it hillarious that the one calling all of us dumb is so able to call a rookie 7 games into his rookie season a bust. didn't realize that that rookies had to be dominant in their first 7 games. well i mean we all knew mario williams had like 20 sacks in his first 7 games last year, and we all knew that osi had about 50 in his first 7 whatever yr he was a rookie, couple, 3 yrs ago can't remember? dan1el070
i think its very obvious that atl fans are pushy when it comes to winning now because of all the ###### weve gone through in the past. we are a frustrated people. it all started for me back in 98. i used to be perfectly fine with atl losing almost every game, until 98 when they made it to the super bowl. after that, the expectations for this team rose significantly. now, almost 10 years later, the falcons still haven't won the big one. that's very frustrating as a fan. i agree we need to be patient, but it seems like every time this franchise takes a step forward, they take three steps back! whem are they finally gonna get it right??!! i don't know now? i thought we were close last april before this whole vick debackle blew up. i've been patient with this team, and im sick of it. let me know when we actually are winning again, because its too frustrating for me to waste hours off my life screaming at my tv!!! i love atlanta and the falcons, braves, thrashers, etc. just a little burnt out with all the losing in this town. you know if making money was a sport, then atlanta would be one of the best cities in the league, lol. but yet we dont have enough mney to get the right players? doesnt make sense to me. ukfalc
true but even with drafting a receiver in the 1st round that is no excuse for them not addressing the o-line problems and the kicking situation.it's diffcult to build an ol when you're wasting your top picks on wrs to satisfy an uneducated fan base and to mask the deficiencies of a grossly overpaid poor passer. we've also had to scrimp and save on special teams, because of a lack of cap room. as for the olmckay's whole approach to building this team has been totally wrong. he tried to build from the outside in and to buy immediate success with trades for expensive veterans and cheap veteran fas. if we want to succeed we have to do the exact opposite. hoard draft picks, build for the long term via the draft and build from the inside out.
