here's the final tally according to nfl.com play by play:

# catch/ drop (# 3rd down drop)

------------------------------

robinson -- 1 / 5 drops

crumpler -- 1 / 4 drops (2)

jenkins --- 2 / 4 drops

joe horn -- 2 / 2 drops (2)

w. dunn --- 2 / 1

r. white -- 4 / 1

norwood --- 4 / 1

totals ....... 18 drops or incomplete

now these are raw numbers - true some of the passes were just incomplete, broken up, or bad throws... but imo harrington was pretty accurate tonight and i saw several bouncing off wr's hands. in particular some of the 3rd down drops were drive killers. maybe crump will keep his mouth shut next week, since he can't back-up his big talk....

so ya know - either joey is throwing too hard, or too soft... but as usual its all his fault rolleyes.gif

i saw something like 6 or 7 hit the numbers and we're dropped and in total somewhere around 11 were catchable and were dropped. those 3rd down passes that were on the numbers and dropped were inexcusable, no team can win with that kind of work, and that missed call on the pass interference hurt too.

guys, guys, we don't drop passes anymore, remember, it was all michael vicks fault this team was 8-8... the wr's never dropped balls he was just a bad passer remember? if we go 1-15 it will not be because the wr's dropped passes, not with our passing offense now led by captain joey harrington.

within the last 10 minutes we've had 2 1st down drops:

alge crumpler

laurent robinson

joey's still floating the ball quite a bit. on the one that horn dropped, he was running an out and the ball basically died as it reached him (as a receiver, you expect the momentum of the ball to carrry it into your hands... if you have your arms outstretched and the ball had only enough velocity to reach your fingertips while you are moving in the opposite direction, that's going to be a bit tough). it was still a drop, though.

i'm loving, however, how this is all of a sudden such a concern.

only difference between this year's drops and last years is that there were more last year, and the receivers weren't as wide open when dropping balls.

this team is very very bad.

ol did a good job in pass protection tonight, though.

and how many times is our o gonna put a dagger in our d's hearts by squandering turnovers? pick the balll off? stop a 4th down conversion? don't worry, our offense is going 3 and out so the other team doesn't get discouraged.

this is the part that's killing me!

their were about 8 dropped catchable passes in the game.....jh would have gone for at least 26 for 39 for about 280 yards......we would have also continued drives, thus had a further chance in putting up additional points.

it seems each week someone different plays poorly....this week it was our wr's.....our o-line did not play great, but they played better than last week.
