There is talk that the league will come down hard on the team. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk said the rumor is that the Atlanta Falcons will lose a second round pick. http://www.inquisitr.com/1962608/atlanta-falcons-rumors-team-could-lose-top-draft-pick-for-using-fake-crowd-noise/
Sorry if this topic was discussed earlier. But now as the Falcons FO is staring down the metaphorical "gun barrel" waiting for the penalties to come down from the NFL. I started to think about the possible repercussions from the fake noise. Just looking a the way the Saints were punished a few years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if the Falcons penalties drew some parallels. Of course it would matter if the NFL decided to suspended Mike Smith and of course fine Blank/the Falcons organization. Loomis and Peyton were both suspended because they were deemed to have knowledge of the bounties being issued on players. Realistically speaking there is no way the the Head Coach and General Manager of the organization had no knowledge that fake crowd noise was being pumped into the Dome to gain a competitive edge on defense. In fact it is most likely that the HC and GM are ones that originally gave the order to generate the extra noise. I'm just wondering if it's likely or even possible. Just because Mickey Loomis was suspended for 8 games when the Saints got wrapped up in the "Bountygate" scandal. I know TD is more of a lame duck general manager anyway with Pioli calling the shots on draft day and Quinn having final say. Your thoughts?
And why I think he's the second best LEO prospect in the draft for us. No point explaining the rest of my opinion - the video should do that pretty well. With the possible trade down due to Noisegate (as much as we like to ignore it), Harold seems like a much more realistic pick for us, and I think he'd be a fantastic fit. Hope you guys enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXc5k9pwXAc PS: I accidentally listed his weight as 147 lbs instead of 247, and I said "horizontal" to the ground instead of "parallel." Minor things that bothered me, shouldn't affect the gist of the video though. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts. EDIT: a few days later, not nearly as big of a fan. :/ still like his potential but wouldn't take him early.
