  1. Going by the numbers on Spotrac, the 2020 Cap is -$6,480,019 in the hole. So notable names being cut are a given. Here’s who I see getting the ax. Good as Gone Luke Stocker: Probably will be the first cut. Cutting him will net $2.6 million in cap space. Hasn’t wowed or done horrible but it’s a numbers game. Ty Sambralio: Didn’t get the resign at the time as I still remember the game Beasley had against him but cutting him nets $3.75 million, $4.75 if designated as a Post June 1st cut Allen Bailey: Hasn’t played horrible but at this point if you aren’t locked in wit
  2. Just curious about something. For the first time in a long time free looked like himself and it was awesome. Are we really so pass happy that we can't use the running game? It was the hottest thing we had smoking and even the refs on the first drive said the Atlanta Falcons massive line just swallows up the colts smaller (Defence). The box didn't seem loaded and eve. If the were free was averaging 10 yards a rush attempt well into the game. Just curious about your thoughts on the playcalling and execution. Playing from behind doesn't really mean for e the pass. Enforce your will on O and let t
  3. Sometimes when a player has been out for a long time due to injury we tend to forget what he was. I feel that way with Devonta Freeman. Its been so long since i saw fully healthy Freeman I forgot he could do this:
  4. Atlanta Falcons blog by D. Orlando Ledbetter, the pro football and Atlanta Falcons reporter for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution By D. 5. So here is the plan for the next week of Breakdowns and some small looks from this last preseason game. HERE IS THE PLAN - Today I will start on the Dontari Poe " Quick look " requested by Rise Up Reader and The Falcoholic Talking about his play during the preseason game. Note I will not be looking into 2015 Coleman tape since hat woul
  6. Report: Devonta Freeman’s agent leaves Atlanta without deal (247 Sports) WTF happened at that meeting?
  7. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/falcons-gm-responds-to-demand-from-devonta-freemans-agent-to-pay-up/ After a so-so rookie campaign, Falcons running back Devonta Freeman has exploded over the last two years to become one of the NFL's best players at his position. He's taken 619 touches and accumulated 3,175 yards in those two seasons -- more yardsthan any other running back in football. That performance led Freeman's agent, Kristin Campbell, to say this week that, "It's time for the Falcons to pay him like the elite back he is," per NFL.com. It seems like the Falcons got her me
  8. Here's a little piece on 5 Training Camp & Start of Season Predictions for ours truly - comments or questions? Don't be afraid to spread this on social media for opinions. Mohamed Sanu liked one of my tweets about him last night too! Awesome team player!! http://lastwordonsports.com/2016/07/21/5-atlanta-falcons-training-camp-season-predictions/ Would've loved to get this pic in there, but copyright laws yadda yadda yadda...editors take over and do all that stuff. But this board is freedom land! So enjoy!
  9. Is there no thread for our Falcons in the ProBowl? I thought we'd have video of each play involving our boys. Julio scored a nice TD grab and 2 pt convert. Freeman ran well and caught a TD and made the play of the game with his awesome tackle on Chris Ivory, slamming him hard. Kelce trying to mock fight him after and Freeman wasnt even having none of it. Guys a bulldog man. Respect. Also Dimarco touched the ball a few times and Trufant had some throws his way..I'd love to see them all. Is this something we can try gentleman!? (and ladies) Freeman Tackle - https://cdn2.vox-cdn.com/thu
  10. I'm not superstitious, yes I do put an old Atlanta City Limit sign below the front of my TV when we go down by ten. Change into an old falcon Jersey if we are down at the start of the 3rd. and also take a shot for every point the kicker makes in the 3rd.. Nah I'm not superstitious. However. the player that was wearing # 33 seemed to play a lot better than the one wearing # 24. Wait it's the same player Freeman. All I will say is he needs to give his 24 up for a future db and get his 33 back before it's to late and is called a bust with 24 instead of a steal with #33 LOL
  11. Here's the link to the entire article: http://espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp14/story/_/id/11311542/tennessee-titans-showing-toughness-camp Some good/funny things were said about the Falcon's by the Professor John Clayton. I'm copying and pasting the relevant information about the Falcons below: Tennessee Titans safety Bernard Pollard was infuriated when Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman ran over and through Titans safety George Wilson. The rules of engagement for this dual practice were no fighting, and running backs were not to finish runs. Fortunately, Wilson wasn't hurt, but Polla
