  1. OK, so here me out. Darius Johnson apparently has a high ankle sprain, as reported here: Darius Johnson suffered a high-ankle sprain last week against the Redskins and is not practicing Wednesday. With two weeks left in the season, Johnson may be headed for injured reserve. High-ankle sprains are typically multi-week injuries. Johnson has been operating as Atlanta's No. 3 receiver. Drew Davis will fill that role. If this truly is the case, then obviously he wouldn't be able to heal before the season ends. So what if we were to move him to IR, and escalate James Rodgers? Why? well, b/c he was a kick and punt returner in college. I realize that he hasn't really shown anything in preseason, but what could it hurt right? I mean, after this year, he only has one more season of PS eligibility left anyway, and playing in the last two games won't change that. Why not bring him up, let him catch the balls, in the last two games, and see if he can do something? If he fails, then no big loss, but if he succeeds then that's one less, although minor, need. What say you TATF?
