  1. So I was busy being ticked about Calvin being snubbed from the Pro Bowl and I thought, Why doesn't Calvin have a nickname yet? All the good players have them. The Refrigerator, Megatron, Jet Jones, Nuk, Matty Ice, etc. And that led me down a rabbit hole. Which other NFL players deserve a nickname?
  2. Baaaahahahaha!!! Btw, great review of the game on this twitter account.
  3. Or are we really aren't as talented as we think we are? There's multiple former pro bowlers on this team. The Falcons have so many flaws and problems right now the list is too long to make. Some of these problems, such as bad special teams coverage, horrible starting field position, our offensive line/running back not getting a yard, our defense being mediocre as usual, have been problems with the Falcons for several years now, even in the Mike Smith years. The difference is when we had good teams, we got away with these problems but it always came back to hunt us somewhere in the postseason.
  4. https://www.espn.com/blog/atlanta-falcons/post/_/id/34559/inside-julio-jones-first-ever-touchdown-that-was-almost-taken-away FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Julio Jones added to his decorated résumé on Sunday night, becoming the Atlanta Falcons' all-time leading receiver on a 54-yard touchdown catch that proved to be the difference against the Philadelphia Eagles. It was a memorable TD, to be sure -- but not nearly as good as the first of his career. That happened on Nov. 6, 2011 at Lucas Oil Stadium, the same place where the Falcons will face the Indianapolis Colts next Sunday. Jones di
  5. This will be my go to scream every Julio td this year. Idk whos seen the ig post of julio but I'll try and get the vid embedded.. Rise up!!
  6. You know what I'm worried about the most at this point? Since our loss to the Chargers in 2016, we've literally lost every AFC game in the preseason and regular season except for the Jets on the road in 2017. Seriously. Since the 2016 Chargers, that's 10 AFC losses out of our last 11 AFC games, and if you throw in our 11 straight preseason losses (only one of those was against a NFC team) so that's 10 AFC preseason losses added on. We've lost a total of 20 of our last 21 games to AFC opponents in the preseason and regular season combined. YIKES, and the 2019 version of the AFC South will be to
  7. The man racks up receiving yards like no other!
  8. https://www.atlantafalcons.com/_mobileview/news/quickest-to-10-000-yards-julio-jones-set-to-blow-past-all-time-greats keep in mind he missed 13 games in 2013.
  9. But let’s cut him still.
  10. Dude literally almost had all our offensive yards. Not to mention they didn’t count his 50+ yard catch. Ryan gets paid 30 millions a year to be a freaking game manager. I’m tired of protecting him. Julio is the one that need protection. Pay the man!!!!!
  11. Dont know if this was posted but I ran across it and thought it was interesting. It echoes some of the sentiments I feel about Ridley and what he will bring to the offense. We’re in a very unique situation because even tho Julio has two guys watching him at all times if Calvin makes an immediate impact it won’t be so easy to double Julio and Matt will have games where he can’t miss because the defense is helpless. Most teams only have ONE Good corner. A few Two like us. And usually that 3rd one is gonna get it. With us basically having 3 #1 wr’s that 3rd guy is gonna get it. Especially if Sark
  12. https://www.atlantafalcons.com/_mobileview/news/falcons-announce-that-receiver-julio-jones-will-report-to-camp Wednesday, Jul 25, 2018 11:50 PM Falcons announce that receiver Julio Jones will report to camp Matthew Tabeek DIGITAL MANAGING EDITOR FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff announced late Wednesday night that receiver Julio Jones will be at team headqu
  13. Ladies and gentlemen: start your engines! https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/julio-jones-reportedly-willing-to-skip-all-training-camp-as-he-looks-for-new-contract/ When the Falcons report for training camp on Thursday, Julio Jones won't be there. One of the league's best wide receivers skipped offseason workouts and now, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Jones is willing to skip the entirety of training camp while he waits for a pay raise -- despite the Falcons making it clear that they had no intentions of doing so at this time. Nonetheless, Rapoport adds, "[Jones] appears r
  14. Link There's a 3 minute video I can't embed. Basically feed Julio. Though it does say a Panthers loss might kill their playoff chances.
  15. Julio Jones (Bugati): Taylor Gabriel (Shelby): Robert Alford(Lambroghini): Deion Jones(Ferrari):
  16. Looking at Julio's plays from last season and the catches he made in the SB, if we would've won the SB, I think he would have won MVP and he would probably be 1st ballot. Without the SB win and SB MVP, he is still on target for HoF. I just look at TO and Moss and with what they did and are having a hard time getting in. Yeah, I know their antics and diva persona are weighing them down now. Otherwise, WTH isn't TO 1st ballot. 2nd in majority of stats behind Jerry, SMH. If Matt Ryan wins SB MVP, he will be a 1st or 2nd ballot HoF. But Kurt Warner did have to wait to get in. http://www.
  17. I know we've heard about this before, but I was always under the impression that Belichik was coming from strictly pick vs pick value angle... As if Julio needed another motivation to kick *** in the Bowl...
  18. As I watched Julio do his Trick Montalban karate chop on the Packers defenders, I starting thinking on how we got to this point. The beatdown we received in 2010 is what started this transformation. Without this historic move by TD in the draft, we would be watching Julio perform these unearthly feats in another uniform. We just obliterated GB with the weapon we acquired to match GB's offense. It will be special when we hang his number above Mercedes Benz Stadium in the future. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap3000000777851/Julio-Jones-Highlights
  19. Can we finally stop hearing that Antonio Brown is the best WR in the league. Dude was doubled today and rendered ineffective. Julio seeing a double is standard and has still made plays when completely blanketed (see last year). Julio missed 2 complete games and was still 40 yards off from leading the league in yards. He has been playing with bad wheels since the first GB game and is still a DCs nightmare. If you single cover him you are either dumb or have him on your fantasy team. Sorry for the rant, but it is time for that debate to finally wash out.
  20. So proud of all these men... http://www.snappytv.com/snaps/gbvsatl-julio-jones-about-nfl-green-bay-packers-at-atlanta-falcons-conference-championships-on-nfl-2016-live-1-00-_5s
  21. As stated in other threads, Julio and Matt could have gone for more yards. Carolina put one on one coverage - if someone makes this mistake again - I see Julio having another historic day with Matt at QB. Saw this picture and thought I'd share it hah
  22. Good stuff from our players. It started here, it stays here...
  23. It's not the team, it's the curse of Atlanta.
