  1. Matty "IceMan" Ryan could have beaten Tom Brady's record. Two interceptions were due to deflections. I have good feeling he will comeback next week. Winning this close game feels amazing. I know some in the other threads are saying lucked out and all. I think the knee was clearly down and ball had not crossed the TD line. It was great game by D and they won this game. Trufant, I love you my brother but these bone headed mistakes could have cost us the game. GO FALCONS
  2. R - E - L - A - X .... Packers QB's comments facing ALL NFL TEAMS AND PLAYERS to their fans was "RELAX"................. Thoughts on this game?
  3. I just realized that the Falcons play another game just 4 days after tomorrows game on Thursday Night! This makes me have multiple thoughts as a fan as to how they should approach the game vs. the Bengals. I mean you play to win the game. But then again, the Thursday game will be a Divisional game, which is more important. So do you rest your best players or do you play them? Yeah you always play to win the game, but like I said a division game is ALWAYS THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE'S TO WIN!!!!!!! Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the way you handle the situation given the time factor and day's is GO ALL OUT and give it your all!!! The mark of a true champion is to never fear the situation, regardless of the opponent!!!! Thoughts on this scheduled game???? GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Like many of you I have been waiting for this day for a while now. We all know what this Falcons team is capable of. It really is time, like the Rise Up theme says. It really is. I didn't like that theme at first. But I never really felt we had a team to add to it UNTIL NOW. The Falcons organization has grown up I believe. We shall see today. What get's me is the way the pundits measure their view of the NFC South by looking at the sAint's first as the measuring stick so to speak where this division goes, with no acknowledgment as to how the Falcons historically have a better winning record against that team. Respect is earned, but I'll say one thing, over the years even though I am a HOMER so to speak, the FALCONS have been screwed by multiple calls, especially in playoff games. But rather than get into all that, I would rather concentrate on this game. The past is the past. It is TIME. Something I must say though. While I can't stand the sAint's or Bucs or Panthers, the NFC South thanks to those teams reputation has made it a division where all the best drama and action goes on. And I should mention there has never been a back to back NFC SOUTH divisional winner. Let's hope this is the start of something for the Falcons. My favorite player is Julio Jones, I can't say enough good things about Julio. He has helped people in need that never gets mentioned. When the tornadoes hit Alabama a couple years ago he went out of his way when he didn't have to and was there helping to unload trucks and whatever needed to be done to assist people like you and me. This is why he is my favorite Atlanta Falcon player. What's the point of this thread? IT IS QUITE SIMPLE ::::::::::::: IF you are a FALCONS FAN RISE UP AND REPLY WITH YOUR OWN GO FALCONS POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. http://www.cbssports...s-wrong-in-2014 Interesting excerts from Prisco's Article 1. It is Douglas who is expected to fill the void left by tight end Tony Gonzalez in the middle of the field. With Jones and White back, Douglas will be the slot receiver again. His speed will help get more big plays in the middle of the field than Gonzalez did. 2. Falcons owner Arthur Blank said in April that most people would not consider his team as a tough team that plays right up until the edge, but not past it. That is something he wants to see, but that sure isn't anything the players would really want to hear. That reputation is based mainly on the notion that teams that pass it first, which the Falcons do on offense, aren't tough, while run-first teams are tough. "So what do you call Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers?" Jones said. "Were they on tough teams? Both of those won Super Bowls. The 49ers haven't won the Super Bowl. You can run it all you want to, but you get in the playoffs you have to be able to throw the ball. And get one or two explosive plays to win it all." 3. "We have a good football team," Ryan said. "We had so many injuries last season that it took a toll. No disrespect to anybody, but there were times when I would look around the huddle and wonder who was playing X or who was playing Z. We will get back this season to being a good football team. This is a good roster."
  6. Since all of us Fans are arm chair coaches. I thought I would ask if you were the Atlanta Falcons coach Mike Smith given these questions by the media at this point in time what your answers might be to these questions? This is just for fun of course. Media Question : "What is the current status of your players who were injured sunday?" 1 Answer : In terms of injuries - "ANSWER HERE " Media Question : "Do you consider the offensive line a step back from last season by comparison?" 2 Answer : In terms of the offensive line : "ANSWER HERE" Media Question : "Was it a mistake to not resign Abraham at this point coach?" 3 Answer : In terms of Abraham - "ANSWER HERE" Media Question : "Do you expect to give Trueblood some playing time given the status of the offense line anytime soon?" 4 Answer : In terms of Blood - "ANSWER HERE' Media Question : "Do you have any intentions of giving some of the RB's that have yet to see regular season playing time considering the Falcons are carrying so many RB's?" 5 Answer : In terms of playing RB's - "ANSWER HERE" Media Question : "Is the loss of Kroy B. for the season something that should be a serious concern for the Falcons?" 6 Answer : In terms of Kroy - "ANSWER HERE" Media Question : " Can you explain the 2nd half woes of the Falcons when getting a substantial lead going into halftime?" 7 Answer : In term of leads and scoring - "ANSWER HERE". Feel free to add to this list, please answer as though you were coach first though. This is all just for fun. I'm not knocking Mike Smith at all, I'm just wondering how some of you might answer these questions if you were the coach of the Falcons at this point in time. GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
