Washington's bullpen woes continued to manifest itself, as they gave up 5 runs in the first two games of the Dodgers' series (a 6th run was inherited from Saturday's starter, Joe Ross), while the Braves had a great bounce back after the disappointing sweep to Kansas City. The season series to date sees the Nationals up 5-4, but Atlanta has won four of the last seven. With the trade deadline looming and this being the last series between the two clubs until September, to say this is a huge 3-game set would be an understatement. With the Braves missing both Scherzer (most likely) and Strasburg this time around, the door is open to push the division lead even further and solidify their stake to a consecutive NL East title.
