  1. The top 2 teams in the AL Central went a combined 0-4 at home in their Wild Card series.
  2. Yankees beat the Indians 10-9. Indians have now lost 10 straight elimination games.
  3. Whenever I start to feel bad about the Braves all I've got to do is look at the Indians and Twins and I feel better. I think we're seeing that the Indians and Twins both got fat and happy on weak competition during the season.
  4. That ties the game at 9 in the 9th.
  5. Indians lead the Yankees 9-8 in the 8th.
  6. In the 8th inning of a tie game with runners at 1st and 2nd and nobody out A-Rod just said the Indians shouldn't bunt. You can't have it both ways. You can't say he was right about wanting the Braves to bunt but also say he's right in saying the Indians shouldn't bunt.
  7. Indians tie the game at 8!!
  8. They already have 4 or 5 days off being the end of the season and the start of the division series. What's 1 or 2 more days?
  9. I'm a big fan of Texas QB Sam Ehlinger. I would love him to be Matt Ryan's successor. Draft him and let him learn from Ryan for a year or two and turn over the reigns.
  10. I think quite a few teams would take having a week off at the end of the season, especially if they've got a few guys banged up (and who doesn't after 162 games)?
  11. The Reds 11 hits today are the most ever hits by a team without scoring in a playoff game.
  12. He served up 2 homeruns after having the lowest homerun percentage in baseball this year.
  13. Here's my idea for expanded playoffs, I'm totally in favor of it but 16 teams is too many. So my idea is to basically adopt the NFL format that was used from 1990-2001. 3 division winners and 3 wild card teams. Top 2 seeds get a bye in the WC round. Best of 5 WC series.
  14. Indians 4-0 lead is no more. Now 5-4 Yankees in the 4th.
  15. Tyler Mahle has two starts against the Braves, both in 2018. 4-24-2018 = In Cincinnati = 6 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 HR, 2 BB, 11 SO = Reds won 9-7 6-25-2018 = In Atlanta = 5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 HR, 4 BB, 5 SO = Braves won 5-4 Braves hitters against Mahle: Sandoval = 3/4 (1 HR, 4 RBI) Ozuna = 3/9 (1 2B, 1 HR, 6 RBI, 1 SO) Markakis = 2/3 (1 2B, 3 BB) Albies = 2/6 (2 2B, 1 RBI, 2 SO) Freeman = 1/5 (1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 SO) Swanson = 0/3 (1 BB, 1 SO) Camargo = 0/2 Culberson = 0/1 (1 SO)
  16. Indians have lost 9 straight elimination games but they've jumped all over Masahiro Tanaka for 4 runs in the 1st inning. 4-0 Indians after 1 in Cleveland.
  17. Am I the only one that thinks if we make it to the 5th inning tomorrow and the game is tied or the Braves have the lead that Brian Snitker should manage it like it's game 7 of the World Series? That's what I would do. All hands on deck. Win tomorrow at all costs.
  18. Rays beat the Jays!! Jays season is over!!
  19. It's the first game in MLB postseason history to go scoreless through 11. Braves first team in MLB postseason history to have 7 players with at least 2 strikeouts in a game.
  20. I just went to Adam Schefter's Twitter page and went all the way back to Friday and nothing.
  21. Really didn't have much choice with the injuries to Clevinger and Lamet.
  22. I thought it was seeds too. This is better!! Would love to play the Marlins, especially after they lost Marte to a broken hand today.
