Gage is in his final year of his contract too.  Good news is WR usually pretty deep in draft.  AJ Brown was drafted in the second round.  May want bigger WRs to block for running game.

What about the show Deal or no deal.  I have a hard time watching people risking money they should clearly take.  It's one thing if you can afford it but people risking 6 figure sums when they clearly can't afford getting zilch.

Thinking about it... May be better long term if we let that cap space roll over to next season and we give unproven players a chance to sink or swim into vacancies. The front office will be in a better position to make a decision after seeing everyone for a season

We continue to read posts on this message board from people that are/were wrong posting every day.  Should everybody who said Julio would never get traded stop posting? It' just an opinion we shouldn't give two shakes about.

Julio has been great for this team.  We can pick apart his weaknesses and apparent attitude issues now, but for a decade he was our finest receiver, perhaps ever.  But, its clear now that he no longer wishes to play here.  So, its time for all of us to move along.  Calvin Ridley is our number one receiver.  Julio wants to be elsewhere.

    This is hilarious.
4 days ago it was all 'There is NO way the Falcons are trading Julio! The Falcons want to win now and AS and TF would NEVER do that! The Falcons are such a better team with him than without him!'
And now it's 'He was injured all the time! He's a DIVA! The Falcons don't need him!'
This is what happens when you get too emotionally invested and ignore the writing on the wall.
Now there is all this anger in people's lives they have to process.

Trading the stock market. Love looking at companies to see if they are undervalued.  So I like numbers and think I understand them so I that's why I hate the Falcons way of handling the salary cap.
Anybody live near a Interfor or West Fraser lumber mill?

Someday soon reacted to NorthGaBoy in Julio Jones trade news: Relationship with Falcons has been rocky for years; owner Arthur Blank ‚Äėmost upset‚Äô by comments - The Athletic
I think if I were a GM, I would want serious discovery done before attempting to trade for JJ.  For one, Arthur Smith, shortly after becoming the Falcons HC said it was strange the way Julio did not show up in practice recordings.  Add to this the fact that Julio, during games, goes on the field and often makes very good plays.  Then, back to the sideline.
If Julio is hurt, how does he perform well when he is on the field?  He is obviously in shape.  This is not a fatigue issue.  This seems quite mysterious to me.  I would want a complete understanding of the dynamics with this unusual behavior.  If this was answered to my satisfaction, I would need quite a roster to make the deal.  Julio is a great player.  He is highly compensated.  He is on a restructure.  The falcons are going to want very solid players on a budget.  How do you make that deal?  I think you have to have the players on the roster who are undervalued to make this deal.  Who has players flying under the radar and are undervalued?  Yep, teams that are not winning a lot.  That is where Julio could land.
This is not going to be an easy trade to structure.  I think Julio should have manned up and earned that big paycheck with the Falcons.  He has a new coaching staff.  Dirk Koetter is gone.  We potentially have a running game developing.  And, the Falcons receivers are loaded.  Julio could have more freedom on the field than he has seen in years.
Listen, I enjoyed my job.  I enjoyed helping customers.  But, no doubt, I worked for liars, crooks, backstabbers, and people who redefined greed.  My efforts and success supported a large number of incompetent people who did nothing for the company or the customer.  I did have those moments where I wanted to quit.  But, I kept nose to the grindstone and made it through.  Julio, no situation is perfect.  You will not find Utopia in this life.  As the country and western singer sang in his song, "God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy."

They be printing money with all that lumber.  Will the current high prices last---no.  Are they making bank--yes.  Hope they treat their employees well.  Like them because of their purchase of Norbord so they now have a huge OSB component to the company.  Sorry if anyone has to buy lumber right now.  GLTA
