    awesome thanks!
Yeah Crypto is fascinating and I think we will have major developments in it for years to come. I want to do it as a buy and hold so that was helpful.
I'm figuring out more and more about options. They seemed so complicated at first but once I read more about them there are some pretty basic strategies that are easy. I got hung up in reading about people who did really high risk strategies with them and were basically morons. They are a great way to earn consistent and safe cash which I can use to buy more shares. I can see how it would be pretty doable to make a lot of money with them.......Of course it would take a lot of money to do that as with most things.
If anyone is interested in learning about them (minus empty promises and nonsense) I suggest Mike and his whiteboard on youtube; or the short simple videos from etrade. Covered calls, cash secured puts, buying calls, buying puts, and debit spread are all pretty simple and safe. Some of the others seem complicated to me and if I dont understand it; its probably a great way to lose money.
I am about to get back in on Ford. They have a lot going on the EV front and their stock is on a boring and steady uptick which is the perfect place to do some things with options.

I set aside money to gamble and money to invest.  I took some gamble money and moved it to more long term investing.  I won’t go the other way ever.  My next gamble is RBLX on Wednesday.  Probably going lose a lot of money on this gamble

ooooh long time away and now we are talking my kind of thread... I am also a moron
Sold off my boring stocks that were making consistent gains (F, GE, RIGL etc) and went into the casino: GME, AMC. Not bad so far; down a bit but recovering.
Also found an interesting gamble on a call option for GTT. If they dont announce bankruptcy it might be a good play. Great PB ratio and is either a deeeeeeep discount or a sinking ship. A bit of an extreme take on Buffet's cigar butts concept.
Other that that my stable one is RIGL.
If I had more free cash I'd take a gamble on SLGG but I have enough gambles going right now. My theory is that Cohen (GME) is partnering with Ann Hand (SLGG) and the guy who started pets.com Gregg McLemore.
With the gambles (because these are clearly casino style wagers) proceeds I will probably go back in on some dividend stocks and stable slow growers. RIGL is going to be a nice long termer and has a deep discount right now.
TO be clear, I am an idiot; and other than RIGL these are casino stocks.

Agreed. I really think DQ would be a phenomenal college coach. He can get fast results, has pretty straightforward schemes that allow players to play without over thinking, and he is an exceptional short term motivator. He got off kilter after the SB collapse and made some dumb moves. As part of his firing he should have been forced to take Koetter with him wherever he goes for the next decade.

Still think we should have kept TD as he would be legendary by now had we gotten to/won the superbowl the times we were in position. Thats not on the GM.

Honestly, we need a head coach with his own schemes both defensively and offensively. The coordinators need to do just that. Coordinate and shut up.

What's crazy as F to me is that we could be 4-3 or 5-2 with competent coaching.

Agreed. I think he is a good coach but it would take a great coach to come back from that and he is not a great coach.

    Agree with this.
If history is any predictor, Morris will do decent this season, we will get rid of him, and then he will find another head coach job where he produces a consistently solid team.
Not sure why the TD firing happened really. We have had the roster to win 4 superbowls during his tenure we just didnt pull it off. Makes for an interesting off season I suppose

I fear firing TD may have been throwing the baby out with the bathwater. A new GM will almost certainly want to hire his new head coach, leaving Morris with very little possibility here. But I am well on record with hoping that Morris get a real shot at the head coach gig...
If Rich McKay was truly the one who talked Blank out of firing Quinn last season, then he should have been the one to be shown the state line, not the guy who put the players on the field that we saw last Sunday

revrndzombie reacted to ChickenBiscuit in Matt Ryan & Falcons' future — Colin | NFL | THE HERD
Ryan’s biggest legacy will be creating consistency for Atlanta and ultimately paving the way for the next QB. The attitude that he’s the best QB we’ll ever have is flat out disrespectful to Arthur Blank, who has done a great job as an owner. There’s been some hiccups but you can tell the dude actually cares about his team and city. And what did he say about Ryan’s future? He said he’d leave it up to the next coach and GM. Yet certain high and mighty posters around here who fancy themselves “football understanders” think they have more insight than the owner himself.

Ryan’s future in Atlanta is in question now. It’s not because he isn’t capable of playing at a high level, it’s because of his age, his cost and what elevating his play will require. It’s a real question whether we move forward with him on the rebuild or bring a younger, more talented QB to build with. And a few posters seem to HATE that it’s even a possibility. Golden boy syndrome.

    after some thought on this,
We were in position to be in the superbowl 4 times during his tenure. Twice with Smith and twice with DQ.

Not sure GM is the problem but I guess we will find out.
