  1. Cause I'm a Falcons fan and an Alabama fan. Kirby Smart leaving UGA and going to the Falcons helps me twice over...
  2. I think Ulbrich would be good. He would be the choice for an in-house hire. I would actually love to see Kirby Smart become our D-Coordinator...
  3. If only...
  4. Don't say things like this...the unreasonable people will just start saying that our OL sucks and shouldn't be starters in the NFL.
  5. I would love to see that as well, but don't expect it to happen. If we are up 35 to 7 in the 4th quarter, the D will play a lot of prevent. This will allow other teams to move the ball and score, but it will eat a lot of time off the clock. If our O is getting 35/game, I would hope our D is 21 or less/game...
  6. IIRC, 2017 our D was top 10, was it not? End of 2016, from the time DQ took over the D, were we not top 10? IJS
  7. So let's say he shows up and breaks his ankle in the first preseason game and has to miss the entire season, is that worth it to you?
  8. Yay!!!!!!
  9. Very true, but our OL wasn't the best either. They were better than the Texans
  10. I know I will get flamed for this, but I think he already is! JMO
  11. If his only problem is insticts, then being in the ATL may be great for him. DQ's system is simple to understand, and puts players in the right position to be successful. That plus Rico at Safety will help him know what to do. Rico is great at letting his team mates know what they should be doing on plays.
  12. Falcons agree to terms with Stephone Anthony and Richie Brown Will McFadden ATLANTAFALCONS.COM The Atlanta Falcons announced Friday that they have agreed to terms on contracts with linebackers Stephone Anthony and Richie Brown. In corresponding moves, the Falcons are waiving offensive tackle Lanard Bonner and placing defensive lineman Michael Bennett on injured reserve. Anthony, 26, was selected by the New Orleans Saints with the 31st-overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. He started all 16 games for the Saints as a rookie, recording 112 tackles, five tackles for a loss, one interception and a 31-yard fumble return for a touchdown. Injuries plagued Anthony in his second season with the Saints, and he was traded to the Miami Dolphins during the 2017 season. Anthony has played in 24 games over the past two seasons with the Dolphins, and he's registered 22 tackles and a tackle for a loss during that period. Brown, 25, was signed to the Falcons’ practice squad for a portion of the 2018 season. He was originally signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and was then signed to the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad later that year. Falcons coach Dan Quinn explained after Wednesday's training camp practice that Kemal Ishmael would be playing more safety than linebacker in the wake of J.J. Wilcox's season-ending ACL injury. Anthony provides added depth at linebacker given Ishmael's new role.
  13. Kinda surprised that Quinn wants Ishmael to play Safety again, after he has put on that extra weight...
  14. Highly possible, but remember Schaub didn't win a Super Bowl while in Houston with their D...
  15. That would have been a very strong Falcon team! Glad we didn't do it though, cause we wouldn't have MR now if we would have done that...
  16. And yes, that D would have been nasty!
  17. But what would your offense have been?
  18. 10K is realistic. You forgot that the last 2 weeks of the season Julio, Calvin, and Sanu will be benched since the #1 seed is already locked up. Matt will still be in there trying to get to 10K yards. He will be throwing to Gage, Hardy, Paulson, and others. Gage will have 500 yards, another 300 yards to Hardy, 250 to Paulson. That's another 1,050 yards added to your 8,950. That's 10K yards.
  19. IF JJ was averaging 10 catches, 187.5 yards, and 2 TDs per game, he still wouldn't get 3,000 yards...he would be sitting on the bench the last week or 2, because we would have already wrapped up the #1 seed by then!
  20. When did we sign Grady Jackson?!
  21. The pick 6 in the SB was big, but all the PI calls against him outweigh the pick 6...unless that pick 6 won us the SB. It didn't
  22. I hope you are right, but I'm not expecting it. I already think he is elite, but a lot of others don't. I think a few of them will soften their stance on him if when he gets a ring, but most will think he got lucky or it was because of the other players around him. Getting a ring doesn't mean you are elite, ask Brad Johnson, and not having a ring doesn't mean you are not elite, ask Dan Marion.
