  1. We shouldn’t be shocked by this outcome. Starters don’t play during the preseason , new coaches, etc.. next week won’t be pretty either.
  2. This game playing is a result of a good chunk of our starters not playing. get our Sh** together during the half and come out playing better in the second.
  3. I believe the defense will be better (hopefully) by the second half. The starters on D hardly played in preseason and it’s showing.
  4. Tommy Nobis Jeff Van Note Matt Ryan Dion Sanders Honorable Mentions- Roddy White Jessie Tuggle Morton Anderson
  5. I kind of already envision him on the goal line punching it in. give me 800 yards plus and 9-10 TD, I’m a happy camper! Oh and hold onto the ball😎
  6. Good was not the word I was looking for. Should’ve really thought about this one before I responded. The stats sum it all up as well. for what we gave up to get him… it was a loss for us. (I had spinal surgery 9 days ago and I think the pain meds and muscle relaxers are making me more sympathetic and indecisive- lol)
  7. First part of my comment was me asking if TE was a team need? All I could remember was OJ Santiago during the 90’s. yes TE was a need. Apr 17, 1999: Ravens traded 1999 2nd round pick (42nd overall, Reggie Kelly) to Falcons for 2000 1st round pick (5th overall, Jamal Lewis) ****195 catches for 1700 plus yards and a total of 5 TD in 12 seasons.**** again the TE position was a need , no he shouldn’t be considered a bust like some of the other players that have been mentioned in this topic. Reggie Kelly was a good player overall and throughout his career but when you see that the Falcons gave up a 2000 first rounder to get him, I question more the FO then the player.
  8. Kelly’s rookie year was 8/146 and zero TD. I don’t even think TE was a team need that draft? Also.. didn’t we trade a pick to get him in the second round?? im not saying he was a bust, he had like 12 seasons in the NFL but I could see why someone would select him as not being a great draft pick FOR the Atlanta Falcons. agree though that he wasn’t bad just not the right choice by the front office that draft.
  9. Don’t like the 4th either. Sony Michel had a good season in 2019 (900 yards and 7 TD) but we shouldn’t have to give up a 4th. in a few days we will know.
  10. Total BS! I only took a quick glance but it looks like Saints have four-five primetime games as well (ummm…. No Brees) I also don’t like the fact that we have no back to back home games (I don’t count London) it could take a toll on us but will see. I’m happy regardless. It’s going to be a fun season and a exciting future. it’s just me personally being picky and selfish in regards to schedule, but I’m over it now. 😎
  11. “Nothing Personal It’s Strictly Business” Love Julio but if there is an offer that is going to help us now or in the near future we have to take it. I think (Hope) Ryan will finish his career here in Atlanta. Ryan has at least 2-3 years in him maybe a total of 4. (I say this because I feel AS is building a better and stronger line that will protect Ryan for the next couple of years as well as for our future QB) This leadership I trust. So if they decide it’s time to change QB’s… let it be so. This goes the same for any player on the team. I’ll never question this leadership as long as the changes or no changes leads to wins.
  12. I’m not saying next years class will be better (as we have no idea how the following players will play) But 2022 class is definitely more consistent in size and though AS is 100% focused on this upcoming season, the scouts, etc… might be looking already at this class. 2022 NFL Draft Top Prospects First Look: Running Backs 1 Isaiah Spiller, Texas A&M 6-1, 225 2 Breece Hall, Iowa State 6-1, 215 3 Brian Robinson, Alabama 6-1, 228 4 Zamir White, Georgia 6-0, 215 5 Master Teague, Ohio State 5-11, 226 6 Ty Chandler, North Carolina 6-0, 210 7 Kevin Harris, South Carolina 5-10, 225 8 Jerrion Ealy, Ole Miss 5-8, 190 9 Mo Ibrahim, Minnesota 5-10, 210 10 Kennedy Brooks, Oklahoma 5-11, 220
  13. Malik Herring- DE signs wit KC per Georgia Football Twitter account.
  14. I think with Davis and Hawkins and whoever else we keep, we will do just fine. It seems AS is focused on the OL and making it a superb unit. A line that can protect Ryan but also open lanes for any of our RB’s to run through (mentioned this yesterday). our offense is going to be legit going forward. can’t wait!
  15. Reminds me of Warrick Dunn (similar running style). Love the pick up. I think he will be a big contributor to our team. Has really good speed and great vision.
  16. Copy that. I thought there was a small chance we would pick him up.
