    No.
    Let's keep Quinn.
I like the direction of the team at the moment.... because I want a high draft pick.

They do look dynamic, exciting, energetic, fun to watch.

They are the anti-Falcons who have become the most lethargic boring team in the NFL to watch... on offense, defense, and ST.

Every team needs a guy like this.
Stats don’t matter to him doing his job and helping his teammates is more important.
When they talk glue guys Rico’s that guy for the Falcons.
  6. The Bayy liked a post in a topic by kiwifalcon in Any reason why we passed on Cody Ford?
Easy because they liked Lindstrom & McGarry better.

The three teams making the largest percentage jumps up the draft board via trades have one thing in common: Their coaches could be under pressure after disappointing 2018 seasons.
"Teams make the bigger moves up to get that quality player so they can sustain success, or you make a move like that to get your quarterback of the future," a GM said.
The Falcons are trying to sustain a window that closed last season, but not necessarily for good. They selected guard Chris Lindstrom 14th overall and then traded up from the 45th slot to select tackle Kaleb McGary at No. 31 in an obvious desire to improve their offensive line.
"We think McGary can be the best offensive lineman in this draft," a different GM said. "What we don't know is exactly where that would be on the line."
The Falcons' 14-spot jump from the 45th pick represented a 31 percent climb up the board. That ranked third behind the Steelers' jump from the 20th to the 10th slot (a 50 percent climb) and the Redskins' jump from the 46th to the 26th slot (a 43 percent climb).
"They have a franchise quarterback, a **** good running back and they are protecting those guys," a third GM said. "That guy [Matt Ryan] was getting his *** handed to him."
An exec thought the Falcons might groom Lindstrom to one day succeed center Alex Mack.
"We really liked Lindstrom but were a little surprised they took him at 14," an evaluator said. "Pass-rusher is still a giant question mark. Maybe they think everything will take care of itself if they just protect Matt Ryan, but they could be in a lot of shootouts, so you'd better have the ball at the end and hope your D is not on the field."

I'm not quite sure if it was for Wilkins this is why:
Unless it wasn't reported, why did they not attempt to trade up at pick 11,12, or 13. The Dolphins are playing for next year and was willing to take picks based on draft.
I think it was for Devin Bush honestly.

I like this cb better than the 1st one we took
  11. The Bayy liked a post in a topic by Smiler11 in Trade both 4th round picks for who????
Isaiah Johnson or Sean Bunting. If Chase Winovich slides for whatever reason I'd go up and get him.

  13. The Bayy liked a post in a topic by FalconFanSince1969 in Did yall's mock draft sites have Savage and Howard in the 1st?
    No, they didn't.
So stop criticizing our pick because of where it was at because at the end of the day, he could have went one pick after we took him.

Mock drafts are not blueprints for the real draft. They're guesses.

    Before you lose your cookies...
We just took the best guard in the draft. People are complaining we're "stacked" at guard/OL.
You know who won a Super Bowl because of great guards/OL? Brees. Brady. You name it.
We FINALLY take a pick to protect Matt, and one that is as close to a guaranteed pick as you'll get at 14. Plus the side note of him being from BC.
    Perspective. It helps.

Edit: seeing people saying we could have gotten him later.. how? We playing what ifs? What about trading back? What if we couldn't find a good trade partner? What if we had good intel that Taylor & Ford weren't fits for a few teams and they were eyeing Lindstrom? What if he was just by far the best OG, or even OL, they saw after interviews, etc.? You can play what ifs all day.

People called Neal a reach at 17 too.

Edit #2: Aaaaand Taylor has knee concerns, Howard got taken over him. Ford still on board (even though he's not as refined or able to play T like Lindstrom). Troffed?

Russell Wilson cant hold Matt Ryan' jock strap.  Get out of here with that.
  20. The Bayy liked a post in a topic by TSprings in Mr. Wilson just got paid
Matt Ryan and Russell Wilson are very different. Would Ryan succeed in Seattle’s system, no. Would Wilson be as good as Ryan in our system no.
Wilson may have a higher floor with a terrible o-line, but Matt Ryan is still a better quarterback. And saying that you’d pay 35 for Wilson over 30 for Ryan is popostrous.
  21. The Bayy liked a post in a topic by g-dawg in Is the Draft More Exciting than the Super Bowl for Falcons Fans?
If your team isn’t in the SB, then YES!
the reason the draft is so popular is it is a celebration of both college football and all 32 teams can celebrate their teams picks and be hopeful.
it’s hope- selling the promise of a better tomorrow

Does Oliver change the outlook of this defense more than a guy you could get at 14, and a player you could pick in the 3rd combined?
If the answer is yes, then you absolutely pull the trigger.
if you really think that there are only a few truly top tier players in this draft and he's one of them, then it's hard to argue otherwise.

We get up there for just a 3rd this year and 4th next year? I’d do it if Quinn is sure whoever is his guy. Still think there will be plenty of talent available at 14.
